Guest guest
Fragrance, I feel for you, I've been through all this stuff earlier this year. I'm afraid I don't know about the size of nodule and fna, I had one done, he accessed the nodule using scanning, very accurately.(for the second time in life) My endo did say they always use this technique these days as it's highly accurate. Twenty years back, the first time, they used the injected trace (radio active?) If poss, you need to get this procudure done asap, for your own piece of mind more than anything else. I'm thinking of you, take care. x > > > My nodule's size is just 0.5*0.5*0.6 cm measured by ultrasound, less > than 1cm. Guest guest
I think the most important thing is to put your mind at ease. Living for years, worrying and not knowing is going to hinder your health. If it can be biopsed, then that¹s your route. Talk to your doctor. Guest guest
please post this on iodine group! my brother in law is going in for surgery on Monday to remove tumors from his neck. He has already had thyroid cancer, lost his thyroid gland and is on a T4 med! Milwaukee WI, is that near you Venezia? of course he should have been put on iodine, and if he doesn't get it soon I think he is in trouble. Gracia My nodule's size is just 0.5*0.5*0.6 cm measured by ultrasound, less than 1cm. Could it be tested by FNA Fine Needle biopsy ? I am worried that it could be cancerous or parathyroid tumor. I read about articles that said such a small nodule could not be tested by radioactive scanning/FNAprecisely,(but even confirmed as cold/cool/hot/warm nodule by imaging, does it make any sense? The possibility of cancer is just a case of " probability " , right?). Is it true? I would not be disturbed if you don't want to reply to me. Fragrance > > > > > > > > > My nodule's size is just 0.5*0.5*0.6 cm measured by ultrasound, less > > than 1cm. Guest guest
1CM is the margin and FNA, which is quite a challenge for the testing doctors. That is the common knowledge among the medical world, which I want to confirm that with members. > > > > > > > > > My nodule's size is just 0.5*0.5*0.6 cm measured by ultrasound, less > > than 1cm. Guest guest
Hi Fragrance I have numerous small nodules up to 0.4 cm. The best info I have found is on Thyroid Disease Manager which says that nodules under o.8 cm are to small to do a FNA. This link take you to section that I found most helpful. http://www.thyroidmanager.org/Chapter6a/chapter6c_frame.htm Remember the majority of nodules are not cancerous but they should be monitored by your doctor to see if they are stable. best wishes keith --- > > My nodule's size is just 0.5*0.5*0.6 cm measured by ultrasound, less> than 1cm. Guest guest
I don¹t understand your message at all? If you were trying to seek a solution by yourself, you would not be posting for help with questions on your board. I was being very empathetic to your questions and what seemed like to me, natural concern when one thinks they make have cancer in their body. Best wishes. sue On 9/12/08 10:58 PM, " fragrance_seen " <fragrance_seen@...> wrote: > > > > > THANK YOU VERY MUCH, SUE > > Well, My " mind is quite at ease " , you are probably wrong. > > I am tring to seek solution by myself, doctors in my region are all lack > of basic knowledges. > > I posted here just trying to dicuss the issue with more knowledgable > members here.
