Hi, everyone, I think that is what we should be concerned with. What filling do

you have now in the mouths?

Nowadays, Glass Ionomer fillings for tooth are very common in the dental

operations. I personally have a mercury filling, and went to the dental office

to have it off, but found the fillings they use. Glass Ionomer from 3M (A

well-known multinational enterprise),following is the link

Benefits:

*Glass ionomer luting cement offers chemical bond to enamel and dentin.

*Releases fluoride.

And it is said that it may be most beneficial to use a high fluoride release

resin-modified glass-ionomer cement as the restorative material of choice.

And it seems that there are not so many choices for fillings! What do you think

of it? Is it safe? Why 3M like Fluroide so much?

Is it necessary to take the mercury filling off, which is said to be hazardous!

If I have it taken off, I would be poisoned by another substance--Fluroide?!

What filling do you have now in the mouths?
