Guest guest
Hi , You have what Dom calls Kefir d'aqua uva. This would be a question best answered in the group Kefir_making I would think. I have made the same drink before and even with full frozen grape juice concentrate. Although I would not use all your grains in the batch of grape juice because it has a tendency to stop the growth of your grains. I know from experience. It's possible to revive their growth supposedly but it's easier to just use extra grains for grape juice only. Jaimye > > I just drank my 1st batch of " ? Guest guest
Hi Adam, I believe alot of sausages have sugar added, and chips- either potato or corn are high GI foods, popcorn too. I had a few weeks ago ate some things that i should not have and the next day...ahh, started to feel very bad. had the itching as you described and was just feeling so terrible. sherielle > > Guys im having some real issues just lately and guess it could be die > off but Im not certain. Guest guest
Definetely sounds like die off to me!! When yeast dies it releases gas which causes flatulence. Have you started your antifungals too early? The same happend to me when I did. Just stick with the diet until your die off lowers. in DC > > Guys im having some real issues just lately and guess it could be die > off but Im not certain. Im trying hard and its been about a week since I ate what I shouldnt have eaten. I dont know how long it takes after a bad slip up to improve but Im having problems with the anal itching, flatulence and fatigue and achiness and heart racing and the lot. cant quite figure out whats going on. ==>Dear Adam. You can depend upon the fact that candida is still overgrowing until you get it under totally under control. In order to get candida under control it has to convert back to a friendly yeast again like it was before it started overgrowing. It is a constant battle in the meantime where you: 1) cut off candida's food supply, 2) kill it with antifungals, 3) work at building up your immune system so it can keep candida " in check " , 4) try to implant good bacteria in the gut. A strong immune system is what cures candida in the end and that is why diet and supplements are the most important part of the program. AND that takes time, patience and persistence on the program. Just be confident that what you are doing is the right and do not be concerned about the ups and downs or changes going on. Natural healing is not a steady uphill climb towards health where you feel better and better everyday until you are cured. As your body gets stronger it may feel like you are relapsing but it just means the body is becoming more able to do more healing. If your cheat was not extensive it shouldn't set you back very much at all. Just keep on keeping on! The best, Bee
Guest guest
Bee thanx heaps for your responses. It is really hard to go through this and feel like youre getting nowhere. Right now Im going through that and everyday is hard. Almost half in a daze, sleepy and drugged or weirdly nervous. Im actually going for walks as well. Nothing strenuous but just 30 minutes on most evenings. But I know diet right now is my main interest and exercise I reckon comes kind of naturally when you feel well again. When youre ill the movitation or energy is just barely there if at all. So im not pushing it too much. Yeah for sure if this is healing and hope it is, its not some steady or predictable upward climb. Its really unusual. Feels like youre on a treadmill going nowhere or getting worse or a combo. But as you said, Im hanging in there and i'll keep on keeping on. Grateful for your answers considering how busy you are. Adam. > > > > > ==>Dear Adam. During the worst healing/die-off symptoms I had while curing my candida 20 years ago I was totally debilitated, couldn't work and my mother had to take care of me. I was totally " out of it " that I slept a lot and was only able to be out of bed a couple of hours at a time. When I got through that worst phase I did start walking. Before that I couldn't. It was all I could do to get from my apartment to the bus stop to see my doctor every weekday. She was helping me a lot however by giving me shots of vitamin C, B vitamins, and calcium, magnesium. If you can find a doctor who gives those kind of shots it would help you a lot! Once I had the strength to walk I made it a regular routine every day. Every day I tried to increase how far I walked, and I even kept track of it. LOL! One of the biggest advantages you have on this program that I didn't have was an alternative source of energy to carbs, which is " good " fats! I always ate butter and other animal fats but I didn't know that I could consume high amounts of them which would provide a better and more efficient source of energy. Onward & upward Adam! Guest guest
My experience has been a little bit different I think because of how SLOW I have done everything. I spent a year just doing a basic Atkins style low carb diet without any cheats, then one by one removed the foods not allowed on Bee's diet over a period of 4 months, giving myself a week or two between each change. I *slowly* added coconut oil in, supplements, *slowly* added in more garlic, antifungals, etc. Because of this I think that my die-off has been very mild and gradual so I never experienced a feeling of real die-off that was so terrible. The closest I came was when I experimented and pulled out all the veggies I ate and did nothing but oil and meat. I had nausea on and off all day long, and fatigue and lots of skin erruptions. It was manageable, but I still wanted to take it slower, so I added back in veggies, except this time I ate less veggies and lower carb ones. It was a great compromise, and my healing is continuing. I know that I have a lot of candida in my body and also that I'm getting closer to being cured. I expect I'll be cured in another year or so. But I will continue to eat this way for optimal health, just probably add more veggies later. So for me I don't mind doing things slowly because a) not much if anything will change when I am cured with what I eat and die-off sucks! I do have die off here and there, a bit of nausea here and there, some gas and bloating that comes and goes, and toxins coming out of my skin, but it's very mild. So if things are getting too much for you to handle, my suggestion is to slow down a bit. Maybe add back in some more veggies, especially high vitamin C/green ones like broccoli, as the broccoli will help your immune system too. Lower the veggies back down slowly as you are able to handle it. Also be sure to do the detox techniques Bee recommends like dry skin brushing and the epsom salt baths. I find that lemon juice really seems to help with the detox, and I also drink a lot of water since I am larger and it helps with weight loss and flushing out the fat and toxins. Guest guest
yikes that sounds icky. you might look in Thierry Hertoghe's book on hormones. I have been trying to decrease my dose of estradiol which is 5mg a day, but I just can't do it. I need lots of hormones. Gracia Been very hot - internally - like my blood is boiling.
