Good for you! > What I am doing to get enough Coconut Oil is to make a mixture of that and Butter. I add a dash of Stevia and some ground cinnamon. When mixed it gets quite soft and then hardens again and its delicious to eat just like that - is it okay this way or am I messing up by doing this? Thanks for you patience with all our questions, Bee! Much appreciated. ==>Yes, you've put together a very good mixture. Enjoy! You are welcome for the help ! I've been having a really difficult time getting all the protein I'm supposed to as well as the carbs. I'm just not hungry! While this is a new experience for me, I feel like I'd like to know if this will change or do I need to change > something? Thanks so much! ==>Hi Zoe. You do need to change something becasuse you need to eat the recommended ratios of proteins to fats to carbs to get the nutrients your body requires. To stimulate your appetite add more spices to foods and eat sauerkraut or kimchi. Bee

A day but eating it from a spoon doesn't work for me and its making everything taste coco-nutty which I'm not liking very much. I use the garden of life brand and ordered some from tropical tradition that's not suppose to have a taste. ==>Sam, I have used Garden of Life brand too, to cook my meats and stir fried vegetables. I did not find it flavored the foods, but some people might have more sensitive tastes. I always pour the coconut oil used for cooking all over the food on my plate, and I add more melted butter, sea salt, pepper and sometimes other spices or herbs. You can mix coconut oil with butter 50/50 to disguise the coconut flavor; just use very low heat. I fry meats and veggies at #2 on my stove's dial. Along with 2 T. butter, and coconut oil,I use 4 large eggs and add extra spices (1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon, 1 tsp. nutmeg and 1 tsp. clove powder). What I've found is that the spices cover over the virgin coconut oil taste and make it very enjoyable for me. I've tried it both light on the spices and heavy and it does make a difference. I also add far less water, process until it's very whipped and soufflé-like in texture and chill for at least 24 hours so it's cold and thick (I've done a lot of experimenting with Bee's drink and have landed on a very yummy, sustaining drink). Just my experience though - don't know if it will work for you. Also, have you tried the Bee's drink ice cream recipe? I add extra fats to that and it's wonderful. Or do you have that in addition to something else? I don't think I could have the same thing for 2 meals a day, everyday. neets7679 <maetoliver@...> wrote: > > I was wondering how some of the list members take their coconut oil? Guest guest
Hi Sam, There was a flan recipe posted recently. I've been making it by blending: 3 eggs, 6 tbsp Coconut oil, juice of 2 lemons 2 tbsp water 1 teaspoon stevia leaf and baking at 180 degrees for 30 mins. Warm it is nice, but cold it is fantastic. Lemon cheesecake! I can hardly refrain from eating the whole thing in one go. Die-off is minimal, if any. Original recipe used less coconut oil, so try it at wherever you are, and enjoy! Or do you have that in addition to something else? I don't think I could have the same thing for 2 meals a day, everyday. , Yes, most of the time that's my breakfast and lunch. I do take fermented cabbage as well before or after my meals. Every once and a while I will change things up a little but this has been a stressful past year for me and the convenience of the Bee's drink has been a real plus for me. It keeps my blood sugars even, eliminates my cravings and gives me peace of mind as well as a feeling of wellness in my body. Dinner is when I get in a variety of allowable solid foods. At this point it works for me. Anita

I haven't posted the Ice Cream Recipe yet - you need to do a Message Archive Search for it. Bee > > Also, have > > you tried the Bee's drink ice cream recipe? No, keeping it in the fridge will not weaken its potency. Bee
