Guest guest
It looks like your free t3 and t4 should be higher. You want them in the upper quadrant. Your TSH is high and it does look like you have Hashi's. Getting your thyroid right is very very important for your pregnancy. Most of us on this site take Armour after unsuccess with synthroid (levothyroxine). You can learn more at www.stopthethyroidmadness.com As far as diet is concerned, soy is bad for us hypos! -- Infertility, Hashimoto, high antibodies and high TSH So happy to have found this group! Seems that the best way to get information is to ask people that have been through it already! I think I'm dealing with Hashimoto but haven't been officially diagnosed. Here's a little background: - I'm 36 year old female, mom has history of Hashimoto, I was diagnosed with hypo last summer, trying to get pregnant. - My gyno felt enlarged glands last summer and wanted me to have my thyroid checked before trying to conceive. Went to PCP and they checked my thyroid and put me on .025 Levothyroxine for hypothyroid a year ago. I had it rechecked in 3 months and was told it was " normal " (now know I should have asked what normal was and got my results). Was told to come back in 6 months. - Up until 4 months ago, I just played the " wait and see " game. Over the past 4 months, I have been taking my basal temps and they are consistenly about 97.2 first thing in the AM until ovulation. My luteal phase is 10 days and then my periods last about 2 days. - Not being pregnant after a year and still being tierd, achy, foggy, can't lose weight/gain easily I decided to go back for more bloodwork. My PCP is out on maternity leave so I feel like I am running my own show at this point. - They were only going to check TSH and I requsted they do the Free T3/T4 and anitbodies. Just got my labs back... T4 6.4 (4.5 - 12.5) T3 88 (88-178) TSH 12.6 (.40 - 5.50) HIGH Free T3 3.5 (2.1 - 4.7) Free T4 1.2 (1.1 - 2.2) Anti-TPO 413 (0-35) HIGH Anti-Thyroglobulin <20 (0-40) Thyroglobulin 298 (0-57.0) HIGH - The PCP covering for my PCP switched me to .050 Levothyroxine and told me to come back in 3 months. I don't want to wait that long and asked to come back in 6 week so I will be having blood taken again in 6 weeks. I came here because I'd really love to hear your opinion on my labs and if I am doing the right thing by uping my Levothyroxine and then waiting 6 weeks to check again. How much of a correction is possible in 6 weeks? I've just started to read about the Hashimoto rollar coaster and don't know what to expect. I really want to get this under control so I can have a successful pregnancy. I'm going to see my gyno at the end of the month and if you had any other recommendations of things I should be asking her or doing to help that would be great, too. Do you think a change in my meds will adjust my temps, luteal phase or periods? These seem to be all issues that would lead to infertility and I'm thinking they are stemming from the thyroid condition. Also, it sounds like there are diet changes that I should look into. I'm afraid to try other supplements without talking about it with the dr. Thanks so much for any advice! Sam

There is no reason for him to torture you unless you have a serious cardiac condition. You won't feel well for more than a day or two until your dosage is well above 100 mcg.
