Guest guest
Yes - it's true. We have blue cross (federal plan) and several months ago I was prescribed a compounded estriol cream - $23 a month and they don't pay for it. I will soon be on other bioidentical hormones and I guess will be stuck paying for that too. It's disgusting. Most of the things we have been doing to get and stay healthy and really be cured they don't pay for. But they will pay for garbage that makes you sicker in the long run. I'm surprised they even pay for my Armour thyroid but they do.
Guest guest
Yikes, I can't believe it! I'm losing my health coverage in a couple of years, but maybe the insurance will have gotten so bad by then, I will be less heartbroken from losing it (on the strange, sorta bright side?). What are we all going to do? Oh I know! How about form our own colony until the rest of the country gets it's sh*t together! We'll have great thyroid docs there and everything :-) I know that's not allowed, but still, it's funny to think about. ;-) In a message dated 9/10/07 7:38:34 AM, alexis@... writes: > > Yes - it's true. Guest guest
Since the ARE in it to make money then why wouldn't they want people to have things that will not cause more side effects and will make them healthier in the long run? This is what is so ridiculous. They make more money by keeping us sick - that's what I've read - but it doesn't really make a lot of sense! The explanation seems to be that the drug companies give them big kickbacks if they help them sell their poisons! When I decided to stop getting yearly mammograms they sent me a " reminder " a couple of times. My integrative doctor says there are studies that show low dose radiation can cause cancer. Now I get thermography, which is just as good at finding cancer as mammograms without any risk. There is a lot of evidence to support this but how often does mainstream medicine even admit it exists. They have to pay for all those mammogram machines! They won't pay for that either! And the list goes on! I'm starting to wonder if the premiums are even worth it but just can't risk not having it in case of an injury or something requiring surgery. Guest guest
is- By keeping people sick,?they will, as you said, get sicker.?That equals more symptoms, more problems and therefore?they would end up needing 5 medications from big pharma instead of just one.?And then they make more money with each new problem.??They exist because people are sick, they get richer when people get sicker.? It's strange that there is motivation for them to keep people sick and get them sicker, but it's true.??For example,?with hypoT, many doctors refuse to do the tests necessary for a persons diagnose so?instead of giving a?person just one medication (Armour :-) they prescribe?anti-depresssants, cholesteral medications, maybe weight loss pills, etc, and suggest many other visits, doctors, and copays to try and figure out what " actually might be wrong " . Guest guest
That's just it - I know the drug companies make more money from keeping us sick and I've read a number of books that point out all the reasons. They are killing us for money! But apparently the insurance companies make more money from paying out all the claims for the drugs and then more drugs then they would by paying for a few simple things that CURE us. And that is what is really mind blowing! Drug companies must give them big kickbacks for doing this to make it worthwhile. In some cases they are paying over $1000 a month for the drugs for one person plus all the doctor's visits involved. Then there are also the cancer surgeries, heart bypass and such that results from all the stupidity! It's hard to imagine how that could be better for the insurance company than properly diagnosing and treating thyroid disease or other things such as chelation, detox, nutrition, etc. that could solve so many problems. It is absolutely disgusting!
Guest guest
Thanks, Venizia. Guest guest
Thanks for asking . Well, I feel very good. However, with my pulse rate usually at 80, Chuck thinks I may be hyperT. Although I don't have any other hyperT symptoms. My face is not at all puffy ( a hypoT symptom) It has been two years since I have been able to say that. So I am a little confused as to what to do. I have a appointment next week with my doctor. So I will see what he has to say. I really do not want to lower my meds. I was hoping he would raise it just a little......constipation is a real problem. Sorry, probably too much info. Venizia > > Thanks, Venizia. Guest guest
Venizia- Not to keep preaching to the choir but maybe you need adrenal support? If other than that you are feeling great/want more meds I think no one else is more in tune with that than you! In terms of too much info, not at all .... that's what this place is for! Keep us posted on your Dr's visit! In a message dated 9/13/07 4:06:11 PM, nelsonck@... writes: > > Thanks for asking . Well, I feel very good.
