Guest guest
How likely is it that inhaling mold spores can cause a systemic yeast infection? At one of my doctor visits she told me I have high amylase levels, normal lipase levels..but " it's something we only usually see in alcoholics " , she tells me. Well, I don't drink. I do have a blockage in my upper right colon which I had read can cause that reaction. I also was diagnosed with a hiatal hernia this year. I have been taking acidophilus off and on for years now-at first I had no idea WHY they made me so darned hungry-now I know why-the die off effect. Acidophilus is the ONLY thing that makes me feel better. I told my doctor that-and asked her why it makes me feel so much better, but received no response, other than to keep taking it if it makes me feel better. Just for 'fun'-I asked her WHY IT MADE ME SO HUNGRY?? (I already had found out the answer myself by then)She also could not give me an answer. I also told her it takes away my heartburn-almost completely-even if I eat acidic foods, my heartburn isn't as bad, or isn't there at all. The reason for my question is because I am not the only one experiencing symptoms, which began as upset stomach, irritable bowels with everything I ate...which they have tried to tell me that it is probably IBS repeatedly, I came back with IBS IS NOT CONTAGIOUS-and we-my husband, my kids-all have tummy problems/same symptoms. We use a water filter, but have not had our water checked yet. We began drinking nothing but bottled water instead with no improvement. The doctor gave my daughter a stool test(I have never had one btw), and found blasocystitis, which is already in the intestines but when found in large amounts can cause symptoms. So, we were all prescribed with those antibiotics-but again it did not help at all. Does anyone know what test I should request the doctor to perform?
