Guest guest
Do you have symptoms of Adrenal Fatigue? I would suggest you get the saliva test done, just to be on the safe side! What does your Dr./practitioner say? Guest guest
I have both read and heard from people that the saliva tests are better than blood. I did the saliva tests. and my cortisol levels all came back low to low normal. My Dr. talked to me about putting me on Cortef when I next see him. Ask for the saliva test for Christmas! I am getting creative.....Oh unless you don't celebrate Christmas. **************************************See AOL's top rated recipes (http://food.aol.com/top-rated-recipes?NCID=aoltop00030000000004)

Guest guest
Hi Group, I have been having a hard time increasing my armour due to heart palps, etc...but I am continuing to gain weight. My question is this: What would happen if I started taking adrenal cortef without doing the saliva test? Could I be doing harm? I suspect my adrenals are affected due to many years going untreated, very stressful events in life, and feel that my adrenals are fried. Please advise, Many thanks,
Guest guest
Hi AJ, Thanks for the quick reply. I had the blood test done at 8AM and everything came back fine. So now, my TSH is too low, and even though I feel great, I have other symptoms, like totally sore breasts right after ovulation (sorry for the graphics guys!!)(not pregnant), weight gain, and heart palps when I try to increase thyroid. I have gone from 150lbs (on no thyroid medication) to 175lbs on thyroid. So, I am thinking that I need adrenal, and don't really want to spend $150 on a saliva test. My doc only tests on the blood. So, not sure what to do or think. Blessings, AthleticItaliano@... wrote: Do you have symptoms of Adrenal Fatigue? I would suggest you get the saliva test done, just to be on the safe side! Guest guest
I have found that doing things with natural substances, and/or thyroid dosages takes time, at least two weeks to start to feel a difference, and then it gets better little by little after that. I used to expect instant results, like on a pharma drug, but I've learned that's not how these things work. Roni and Irwin <familyirwin@...> wrote: Thanks Roni, I tried that, but it seemed to do the same thing. I found some thyroid complex that I used to take, that has dessicated adrenal in it, and I am taking it to see if that helps at all. Blessings, Roni Molin <matchermaam@...> wrote: May you could try to divide your dose in half and take one half in the morning and on half in late afternoon (4-5)p.m. I did that, and the Afib palps are staying away. Guest guest
I think it is very safe to try cortef 5mg 4X a day. that's what I did. Guest guest
Hi Gracia, Thanks for your reply. I found this website to purchase cortef, but it only comes in 10 or 20 mg. Would this be too high to start off with? Thanks so much! Gracia <circe@...> wrote: I think it is very safe to try cortef 5mg 4X a day. that's what I did. Guest guest
Hi , I found an online website but it looks like you need a prescription to get the cortef. www.mastersmarketing.com then type cortef in search engine. I thought I didn't need a prescription, but apparently so. I wonder if IsoCort would be equivelent? Guest guest
no you do not need an Rx b/c this place is in England. I order there all the time. we usually keep the sources off list though just so they don't dry up ya know. I buy 10mg tabs and break them in half (they are scored). Guest guest
Okay, thanks for letting me know. I bought some Isocort a while back so I guess I will just use that in the meantime.
