Guest guest
Bev, I found that to be true when I put it under my tongue. However, between the upper cheek and gums, not a problem at all. Guest guest
I put my cytomel under my tongue. That's the only way I would be able to control it.. How do you keep from the pill from disolving and going everywhere in your mouth and down you throat? Bev > > Bev, > > I found that to be true when I put it under my tongue. Under the best circumstances we still only absorb about 80%. Chuck
Guest guest
I guess it works differently for different people. Bev > > I do not put it under my tongue for that reason. Guest guest
So I am not gaining anything by doing it this way? I thought it was 80% by mouth. The studies show that it varies quite a bit by individual. If you simply wash it down with water, absorption averages about 80%. If you get some under your tongue or into your cheek, that may add a few percent. However, what you gain by avoiding stomach acids, you end up forming complexes with saliva enzymes. The real key is that you not eat for at least two hours before and one hour after taking it, and that iron and calcium supplements be more than four hours away. Guest guest
how can that be true? hormone is absorbed thru mucosa and into blood stream. I chew my Armour--don't have the patience to let it sit there. Gracia Venizia, You wrote: > > I found that to be true when I put it under my tongue. Most of it dissolves and ends up being swallowed, even if you are not conscious of swallowing it. That's especially true if you chew it.
