I discovered that water retention on the abdomin has a " name " - ascites. I did many google searches - everything pointed to liver problems (I don't drink alcohol or take drugs, legal or not). I had water retention coming on bad a couple of days ago, I decided to take a milk thistle capsule (for my liver, after all, it has saved people from death-cap mushroom poisoning according to the 'net) IT WORKED!! I actually lost some water weight instead. Yesterday I added lots of ghee & coconut oil back into my diet (this would normally add 2lbs of water to my belly), took 3 capsules over the day - I lost another lb of water! I am so thrilled, just had to pass on this info. it may help someone else. Jewel (dancing a happy jig)
