Guest guest
I THINK CHUCK WOULD TELL US THAT SYNTHROID IS T4 REPLACEMENT ONLY THEREFORE WE NEED MORE ARMOUR THAN SYNTHROID. IF I WERE NOT STILL IN A FOG, MAYBE I WOULD REMEMBER WHAT HE TOLD ME WHEN I ASKED. ALSO, I STARTED OUT LAST SUNDAY ON ARMOUR WITH 1.25 GRAINS, BUT TODAY I TOOK 3.5 AND WILL PROBABLY TAKE MORE TONIGHT. I AM FEELING BAD...NO ENERGY AND A HEADACHE, NOT TO MENTION THE HAIRLOSS. > Dani~ > I know you posted this a few days ago but I'm just getting to my e-mails, > sorry! Guest guest
Chuck~ Yes I do believe that that was an insufficient dose. However, it was the highest dose my previous doctor would give me. As soon as I went to a new doctor she put me on Armour so there was no more talk about synthroid. Chuck, you wrote: , You wrote: > ... Since 4 grains of Armour is supposedly equivalent to 240 mcg of Synthroid, is it not possible that you were simply given an insufficient dose at 75 mcg? The official equivalence is 100 mcg of levothyroxine (or Synthroid) for every grain (60 mg) of Armour. What I would tell you is to take that equivalence with a grain of salt, perhaps with a grain of potassium iodide, another salt.
