Guest guest
Joy, This doesn't make sense. Everyone metabolizes T3 quickly. You simply seem to be not getting enough. Did you ever take anything with T4 in it? Chuck > > > Hi.. Guest guest
Hi Joy, Get the armour, and get it fast. IMO you are reacting very negatively to the synthetics. I had the exact same probs...Also, with the feet, I found that if you soak 16 oz of Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar with 16 oz of water, do this every other day, and slough off the dead skin, you will be amazed. Soak for at least 1 hour. I had terrible terrible feet, for 15 years, now I have gorgeous feet (yes, I won't lie, they are gorgeous!!) It sounds like you seriously need a good enzyme and probiotics to get your gut right. It is all hypo related. Undertreated. I found that garden of life is fantastic! Also, if you can, get a juicer, and start juicing right away! You are seriously lacking in nutrients. If you are open to natural methods, I would highly encourge you to to do a cleanse. I think it will help you so much! I know it changed my life. This is what I can sincerely offer as my opinion. I wish you wellness Joy! Hugs, Joy <jwalker8869@...> wrote: Hi.. Guest guest
Wow, you have much to handle. I have been hypoT for many many years, and I have had fibromyalgia since 1997. I have a Atrial Fibrillation problem which just recently acted up. I refused to take coumadin, because of the side effects. Instead I am taking nattokinase (2000 fus, 1pill 3xday). The drugs you are on all have side effects, and could actually be causing you problems. Water pills (I found out from the cardiologist) must be taken with potassium (99mgs), or again, there are side effects. The kidneys can be involved. I was also told to take magnesium (500mgs) which I take in addition to vitamins A,B,C,D,E, fish oil caps, cal/mag, and policosanol (for high cholesterol/lipids), also a multi. I divide these up threee times a day too. Since you are not getting any relief from the drugs you are taking, you might want to wean yourself off of them one at a time. I found there really were no drugs that took my pain away, so I decided that if they didn't help, I wasn't going to take them. A seat for your tub would help you to be able to take a nice warm shower without the stress of standing all that time. (the drugstores have them) A hower head with a flexible hose attached would also help with this problem, and has different water flow settings, so you could give yourself a nice massage at the same time. I have learned that I cannot do what I used to, so I do what I can. I begin doing a task and if it gets to painful, I sit down and rest for a few minutes and then go on. Sometimes it is frustrating, but still better than taking a fistful of pills that do all kinds of damage. I wish you all the best. I hope I helped in some small way. Guest guest
Joy, Yes, mine were ridiculous, blisters, peeling, itching sometimes, but very hard thick skin, yellowish, ugly. I tried everything...and it seemed no matter what, I had gross feet. it was so embarassing...finally, I was at my wits end...found earthclinic.com and looked up fungus feet, and found the cure!! Yes, a cure!! It was a miracle for me, and I was really stressed about it. It works. At first, I soaked them every other day for about 1 month. Then, once a week for a month, then every two weeks, and now I am doing maintenance. Once a month, pretty much. You can get a pummas stone to slough off the dead skin, but you have to get the dead skin off, and let the new shine through. Actually, I used a knife to peel the dead skin off (yes, I know it is gross, but it works!!) and my feet felt amazing. Then, I wore basically flip flops when ever I could. I threw out all old shoes, and got new ones. Now, I let my feet breath as much as possible. Get one of those feet soaking tubs at your drug store, or k-mart or walmart. You can also add H2O2 to the apple cider vinegar/water too. Maybe a couple of capfulls, or even a cup full. I am really glad that you are doing a cleanse!! Excellent. Rebuilding using good whole foods, juicing, good probiotic, and enzymes when ever you eat anything cooked. Bloating could be a lot of things, and one thing might be food allergies (wheat, soy, corn, nuts, etc.) I am on a gluten free diet, and brown rice is really good for allergies. The other thing could be that you are bloating because you are eating a lot of roughage, fiber too. This will pass as you get more used to it. Ridges on nails can be a lot of things, but nutritional deficiencies comes to my mind, and it could be from the hypo. You really need to get some decent meds. I am not saying that synthetics don't work for some, but a lot of people do really well on natural thyroid. The fluid suggests to me kidneys...and one thing you can do is take the juice of one lemon and drink it with water right when you wake up, on an empty stomach. See if you can get some herbs to support the kidneys, as they are detoxing...Some kidney cleanse tea to help in this effort. If it is at all possible, can you get to an acupuncturist? They really specialize in the kidneys. And they have really good herbs for kidneys... I think you are on the right path, Joy. Keep encouraged. This group is amazing, and I really love everyone on this list. We don't all see eye to eye, but we are a family here. Again, you seem to be under dosed, except for the 5.5 grains. For some people even that is insufficient. Have they tested for antibodies? RT3? Guest guest
Chuck, as for specific med's they come form ITC pharmacy.. I was told they were natural but you told me the only thing natural was the the veg cap in an earlier post.. the labels read.. " Bio-Identical thyroid HRT. my T3(L-triiodothroynine and/or T4(Levothyroxine) ) those ranged from 2.5 to 5.5 grains..then she switched me to 75/75 mcg of the T3/T4 and I took it am and at noon still crashed my 4pm (not good with 4 kids) then she switched me in Nov to straight T3 100mcg am and at noon which isn't helping. still crashing around 6 instead of 4.. along with cortisol 20 mg am and progesterone pm 50mg days 14-28, choleated iron, omega's, heparin 10,000 units 1cc bid. along with 25 other supplements I lose track but that's the gist of it all.. My doc is in Troy in Michigan and I'm in SE indiana ( only raining here.. sounds like you all are having a heck of a time) she from the Fibro and Fatigue centers.. she has done wonders for me She stays with it but I guess she to cautious with increasing my dose.. all my other doc's told me to back away from the table (which i wasn't eating anyway) and to live with it that Ishould see a shirnk.. I don't have any recent lab results I have fought with Labcorp and they won't give them to me I threaten them with hippa etc.. and my doc's staff isn't the fastest i do have results from june of this yr. and they are : thyroglobulin, quantitative <0.5 range 0.5-55.0 antithyroglobulin Ab Siemens (DPC) ICMA methodology <20 range 0-40 T4 free,Direct, S T4, Free direct 1.01 range 0.61-1.76 TPO Ab 19 range 0-34 Triiodothyronine, Free, Serum 4.8 HIGH range 2.3-4.2 I'm also S/P thyroidectomy if thay makes any difference in the lab results.. I will try and get my latest labs.. they have no problem sending me the bill but not the results.. Thanks for your help!! Again, you seem to be under dosed, except for the 5.5 grains. For some people even that is insufficient. Have they tested for antibodies? RT3? Guest guest
Chuck.. I don't have a clue that 's why I'm here.. I just spoke to my former boss and she gave me my lab results that were done on nov 16th this is the reason, I guess she put me on the straight T3 .. She had me take the 75/75 mcg and the T3 at 7am then wait 8hrs and have the blood drawn. honestly I felt better taking the 75/75mcg and straight T3 at 6am then again between 1-3pm.. it didn't keep me up at night and I had no side effects.. free T4 was 0.70 range 0.89-1.76 Free T3 10.16 range 2.3 -4.0 I thought I one time she order a reverse T3 but that was from Labcorp.. or it might have been Quest.. so I wouldn't have those results.. I have all my bottles left full of my T3 and T4..in a backpack ,if you were me and hypothectically speaking what would you dose yourself???
