headache fro Pau D-arco tea

I've been on the diet for two weeks, and the information I've

received on this site has been very useful as I've embarked on the

process. It's been a struggle, since I've been a vegetarian for the

last 15 years - I'm eating a lot of eggs, fish, and an occasional

free range chicken, and lots of broccoli, cauliflower, garlic, etc.

I pretty much went cold turkey with carbohydrates and other

forbidden foods, except for an occasional tortilla chip. Something

is definitely changing, - and I've lost 8 lbs without even trying.

I'm starting on the supplements today, and decided to buy some Pau D-

arco tea when I bought all the supplements. I had a cup of the tea

last night, and instantly got a headache (which I rarely get) and

have had one off and on since then.

Is it likely that it is too early for me to have even a mild anti-

fungal substance like the tea? I'm trying to figure out if it's good

that I have a headache or not - Also, is there anything I can take

for it that won't interfere with the regime I'm on?

I'm thinking I may have done too much too fast; I was feeling pretty

run down yesterday before I tried the tea....will focus on the

supplements for the time being, and try the tea in a few weeks if

I'm ready by then to start anti-fungals. Wonder if I will still get

the headache at that point. I'm a real wimp when it comes to

headaches :)

I just saw the post about headaches with the Pau D' Arco tea after I

just posted asking if it was alright to take a couple of cups a day of

it along with the garlic tea. I realize that I have been getting

headaches the pass two days or so and am wondering if it is from the

tea too. But I am willing to try and bare with the headaches if it

can help me get rid of the candida congestion in my head and chest.

Thanks

Theresa

That's odd. I have only had a headache maybe twice in the last three

years. I used to get about one a month. I attributed the lack of

headaches to the pau d'arco tea.

I'm trying to figure out if it's good that I have a headache or not -

Also, is there anything I can take for it that won't interfere with

the regime I'm on?

==>The Pau D'Arco tea caused you a headaches because it kills off

candida which puts out toxins that are mainly alcohol; so it's like

getting effects close to a hangover. You should probably concentrate

on the coconut oil, starting with small doses and gradually

increasing it, and not have the Pau D'Arco for awhile. The diet

itself will kill off a lot of candida all by itself.

==>For headaches do the things recommended for detoxifying your body,

i.e. dry skin brushing or rebounding on a trampoline or jumping rope,

Epsom salt baths, lemon & ocean sea salt drink, coffee enema, and

start on calcium magnesium supplements as soon as you can; see this

article too: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/help1.php

Hi ,

Like you I am a total wimp with headaches, and I got

my first (and only so far, knock on wood) migraine

last August. I think at the time I was out of the

refined coconut oil I was using back then, and then

tried to use half a cup of VCO because I had some that

I used for my skin.

I was sick with the migraine for three days, and then

after that for 2 months I had a hard time dealing with

eating my food. My brain associated being that sick

with my food, so I started adding lemon juice to my

food so that it tasted very different.

So my advice to you, FWIW, is to take EVERYTHING as

slow as possible. In fact I would advise doing

nothing but the diet for a good amount of time, and

even slowly work your way onto the diet. Then get the

supplements you need, then much much later take very

baby steps with the antifungals.

Except for the time where I took VCO instead of the

refined stuff because I didn't realize there is a HUGE

difference between the two, I have taken everything

slowly and the worst I have gotten has been a very

occassional headache, some gas and gas pains, and some

very minor fatigue.
