I know I get those pains when I am dehydrated.

Nadine

[sPAM] Re: Help!

Hi . I had those pains off & on for months, literally!. I rarely have them now unless I push it like a few to many bites. But before they would come just from drinking or no reason at all really. I wouldn't be to concerned. It could even be gas build up in your intestines. Remember that the restriction of your band can vary, day to day even. How is your weight loss going? Are you losing regularly? Tight days also can cause that pain in your chest & side. Hope it subsides soon..Hang in there..Dana

Hey everyone, I was banded on December 15, 2006. I started out at 186 pounds and a size 16 and after two fills am now down to 153 pounds and a size 8. I was wondering if anyone has experienced pain on their left side? I keep getting sharp pains on the left side of my body under my ribs, it feels similar to a side ache and sometimes causes me to not be able to get a deep breath or lay on that side. It's not a constant thing, but it seems to be happening more and more often. I thought maybe it was just happening after I ate, but now it seems to be happening at different times all throughout the day. I have also been PBing a lot, even though my last fill was a couple of months ago and this problem is just starting to happen now. My band is only filled to 2.1, so I dont think it is too tight, up until recently I have been able to eat somewhat normally. Are these two things something I should be worrying about? I wish I could go get a flouroscopy, but I just dont have the $350 to get it done around here. Has anyone experienced what I'm describing?

//I am in the research process. Do any of you bandsters live in Oklahoma? What is PBing?//Hi Beth,I live in North Dakota, not Oklahoma, but I can tell you what PBing is. I just had my first one of these about a month ago. I thought I had slimmed but then I figured out it was PB. I don't think I have slimmed yet??!!?? LOL Ok, PB (productive burp) When I eat, I have to burp for the food to go down. Air from my "big tummy" comes up and lets food down past the band. I was in a hurry one day and took to big of a bit and didn't chew, chew, chew. I was late for a meeting or I probably would have "worked" on it a little more but my tummy tried to burp and instead of air, I got that last bit of food. It wasn't like throwing up, no stomach wrenching or

anything, just a burp that brought a bite of food instead of just air. By working on it, I mean...If I take too big of a bite or take that "one bite too many" I can usually stretch and sweat a lot and work on getting it down but I didn't have time for that in this case. I hope this very lengthy explanation helped :) :) Cyrena www.mylapbandjourney.com(240) 230/196/150 (1 more lb and I'm 1/2 way there!!!)DOB: 1/19/07

Help!

His Tsat, Ferrtin, Hgbx3 are all within normal range. Prostat has

helped my dialysis patients as well as Proteinex. I am not sure about

this bariatric patient with malabsorption. I am puzzled why his albumin started

dropping so significantly after 30 years though. He is getting IDPN

(Intradialytic Parenteral Nutrition) and it has not improved at all. So

why is hydrolyzed collagen protein not good? I may need to go back to

school.

If I read your post right..his prealbumin

is okay but albumin and total protein low. Have you looked at transferrin?

Help!

Wouldn't Kefir be high in Phosphorus. he already has a very high

phosphorus level. can't get it below 7.5 most likely due to all the protein he

is eating. He currently takes 5 phoslo qac but I just switched him to Fosrenol.

He also has about 6 loose stools per day and says he has had this for 30 years.

wouldn'[t the Kefir exacerbate that? I am really not that familiar

with it. he also takes 6 T. Prostat per day and yes , is also on IV

carnitor.

My 30 year post op jejunal intestinal bypass patient continues to be

declining. He has been on dialysis for 6 years and has done well and still

drives and is fairly active and at his IBW. BUT, his albumin has been at 2.0

for over a year and last month albumin dropped to 1.9 and now this month 1.8.

His prealbumin is 20.2. He gets IDPN 5 times per week. He has been advised

to get a reversal but his cardiologist is not in favor of it. I am so

worried about his albumin. His total protein is now down to 4.9. He eats large

amounts of protein & calories, well above his estimated needs as well

.. Any suggestions or testimonies about good outcomes from reversal or

anything I could share with him. How can I help this man?

Bee,

I did not cut this email, because I have some questions relating to it

with me. I also have been diagnosed w/ Candida. I had all of my 28 teeth

removed a couple months ago, prior to reading a lot of info referencing the

methods required. I got this nasty disease due to a totally destroyed

shoulder and more than my share of cortisones, steroids, antibiotics and

several major surgeries. I had my teeth removed because my doctor said it

caused the eternal redneck that I have had for 2 years, its not gone yet

after teeth have been removed for 3 months. What a mistake. My hand and arm

is consistently numb, discolored and tingling. I attribute a lot of this but

not all, to my shoulder problems. But the weird thing is, I have had a

severe case of thrush for a couple years also. Well, a few days ago. I had a

severe sore throat for 3 days and then the thrush completely disappeared and

was replaced by half of my tongue turning a complete furry black. I do know

that this is supposedly caused by acid reflux. I don’t know how to kill it,

but it has got to be easier. But at the same time, I feel better than I

have for as long as I remember. Also, I must admit a couple things. I

stopped taking any and all medications except blood pressure a couple months

ago, this I did until a lab test that could prove why I am taking them. This

hasn’t happened. I also did not follow your diet or any other diet. Not

saying its wrong. But, I just couldn’t do it; I did read all the emails, for

mental support. This has helped me a great deal. What I believe is the

correct cure, not saying I am cured, is different for everybody and that you

must listen to your body.

Thanks everyone for just being there. This has not been an easy road in my

life, but I think I see the light at the end of the tunnel……..

==>, the tingling is created by nerves and it is a sign they are

trying to wake up. Cold feet are because candida toxins make all of

the body's cells go rigid/stiff which makes it difficult for blood

cells to fold like they should to get into the small capilliaries in

the feet.

==>Because most candida toxins are mostly alcohol you can expect some

lightheadedness, dizzyness, and sleepiness. A sore throat is caused by

extra mucus the body forms in order to get rid of toxins. As you

continue killing off candida the toxins will create many symptoms and

problems. It means you are progressing as you should. It is not a

steady uphill climb towards total health. There are many ups and

downs. As the body gets stronger it will also dig into areas to heal

them as well which create many healing symptoms. Eventually your good

days will increase and your bad ones decrease. Just know you are doing

the right things to help your body heal.

==>Hi Ron. Thank you for sharing your story with us. You've had a

really rough road for sure! Sorry to differ with you my friend, but

the truth IS that all human bodies are the same so they require

exactly the same nutrients and elimination of toxins in order to

become healthy. Dr. Weston A. Price proved that in his

book " Nutrition and Physical Degeneration " which is the result of 10

years of research - here's the online source:

http://journeytoforever.org/farm_library/price/pricetoc.html

==>The only way to improve health is to provide the body with the

nutrients it requires so it can heal itself. That means building up

the immune system and eliminating toxins.

The best, Bee
