Would someone mind to post it please? Thank you! ******************************************************************* Hello! You can find it in the Recipe for Candida diet folder under Drinks and Teas. Blessings! :-) Debra NW Bee's Raw Egg Drink Contains: 19 grams of protein, 65 grams of fat and 4 grams of carbs. 1. 3 raw large whole eggs (or 4 medium), preferably " certified organic " free-range 2. 2 tablespoons coconut oil 3. 2 tablespoons butter (organic or certified organic cultured & unsalted is best) 4. 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon, or to taste 5. 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg, or to taste 6. 1 pinch of stevia sweetener, or to taste 7. 2 – 2 ½ cups of boiled filtered water Put the first 6 ingredients in a blender and add boiled water last. Close the cover well, and blend. Some people like this drink hot, while others prefer it cold. All ingredients can be adjusted to suit individual needs. For example if you are just starting on coconut oil add 1 teaspoon and gradually increase the amount over time (every 4-5 days) to minimize die-off reactions. The number of eggs can be increased or decreased, along with any other ingredients.
Guest guest
I had it this morning. I liked the taste! But I got a stomachache right after, which lasted for about 4 hours. Is that from consuming raw eggs? Also I wanted to vomit and didn't feel too hot during those four. But as I was experiencing all these unpleasant feelings, I thought about Candida and how it usually makes me feel good if I treated her right with like some tasty treats, like fast food, for instance. So, maybe this reaction was simply Candida's protest. She sure did not like it and hence gave me these feelings. I did everything as was in the recipe. But 3 large eggs and 16 ounces of water made it quite a big gulp. I downed like 2 and 1/2 large tea cups of the staff. Is that correct? Don't we need to consume less water? Is it OK to mix water with eggs in first place? Also, after I liquefied everything in the blender and poured it out, the drink had butter and coconut oil chunks floating around in my cup. It was like drinking dense pulp separately in the juice. Is that how it's supposed to be, or I needed to blend everything longer until no chunks would remain. I really want to do everything right with this drink, for I am planning on starting each of my days with it. Any suggestions or comments? Are you making sure that you are using water right out of the tea kettle? I pour it into a measuring cup to get the measurement right but it's still very, very hot. And, even when I chill the egg drink to have later in the day and it cools, there are no chunks. It's smooth and delicious like a milkshake, tastes just like one too. I also get a stomachache when I drink the egg drink. I am sure it is not the raw eggs but the butter and the coconut oil. I am not sure if it's the amount of fat at one time that my body is not used to or the healing properties of the drink. Because of the stomach upset, I drink half of it warm as soon as it is made and I drink the rest later in the day as an afternoon snack. Best of luck to you. I got it figured out. I did not boiled the water. On top of that I've used pure STEAM distilled water without the added mineral. It's not the case anymore. I went to the health store earlier and picked up a really good brand. Now, my water tastes great and does not damage me, but heals me. Guest guest
Hi Bee, In this case it is not the spices causing a healing reaction, the cause in the majority of AS cases has been found to be a gene, B27 that is very similar to the klebsiella bacteria. When levels of the bacteria increase the body acidentally mistakes the intestines for the bacteria. So you get imflamation when ever you feed the klebsiella. So the diet works great but you really cannot eat any starch, the smallest ammount will cause issues. But if you stay on the diet long enough the klebsiella levels start to drop off/normalise with no/less food. You can then tolerate things better then, just like with candida etc Phil > > > > I am unable to add spices, cinnamon or nutmeg, into my egg drink, > because of the starch which causes an Ankylosing Spondylitis flare. > So the drink tastes terrible. Guest guest
Hi Bee Its just the spices in there everything else is fine, I have an egg drink once per day. Cinnamon I belive is the bark of a tree and nutmeg is a ground seed. Both are starchy. With ankylosing spondylitis herbs are ok but practically all the spices are either roots, barks or seeds. The smallest ammount can cause quite a bit of discomfort in some. For people who have the issue and are interested if you are ever in doubt there is a iodine test where the food substance turns black if you put a droplet of iodine on the sample. Guest guest
> ==>Hi Jeanne, do you have references to spices being starchy, > particularly cinnamon & nutmeg? > > Luv, Bee Hi Bee - Here is the link to list of starchy foods, where I discovered the No Starch Diet for Ankylosing Spondylitis: http://www.kickas.org/ubbthreads/showthreaded.php? Cat=0 & Number=146875 & an=0 & page=0#146875 Cinnamon and Nutmeg, it states N (which means), starch is present in significant quantities but there is no reliable information on the amount. We also rely on a book called, " The IBS Low-Starch Diet " , by Carol Sinclar. http://www.lowstarchdiet.net/ In her book, she states, " I have found all spices to contain starch. All peppercorns, whatever their color, contain starch.......because starches are not used in large qualities, some people may be albe to tolerate the small amount of starch without any problems. You need to experiement for yourself " .
Guest guest
Thanks Bee. I find this drink very very filling and it usually ends up half being used for breakfast and almost half taken again late in the evening when I feeling hungry. Is this alright? Truly cannot take it all at once. It is like a full meal! blessings Shan PS I will be very glad when you get your website up. I have been referring people to your website all last spring but can't refer then to articles in this group - they would have to join the group first and most people seem to like to know what the info is like first. Guest guest
> You can adjust the recipe according to taste, the amount of eggs, > etc. and it is still quite fine. > > Luv, Bee I just wanted to add that there's so much freedom in preparing Bee's Egg Drink. I experimented for a number of weeks and decided I liked it cold instead of hot and that I wanted to get in lots of my fats and proteins (and small amounts of carbs)and yeast killers in one drink I could sip throughout the day. Now I make it the day before with 5 large eggs, 2 tsp. cinnamon, 2 tsp. clove powder, 1 tsp nutmeg, 1/4 cup unsalted butter, 5-6 T. coconut oil, hot water and several splashes of water processed decaf coffee. After running it through a blender, I put the drink in a mason jar and in the morning at several icecubes, shake it up by hand and drink my first glass about 15 min. later. Of course I had to work up to the amounts of cloves and coconut oil as they most noticeably cause die off for me. This is a wonderful drink to take in a stainless steel thermos when I'm going to be gone a number of hours - it has always more than sustained me until late afternoon or evening. Anita T.
