Advice needed

Greetings, I've been a member for a while but this is my first post.

I'm after some advice as I'm at my wits end. 48 hours ago I was taken

by ambulance to hospital after almost passing out at work. I had been

on the recommended diet in earnest for the past 6 weeks with a phase

in period of about a month prior to that. This was a mammoth

undertaking for me as I'd been a strict vegan for the past 6 years.

I'd been doing fine on the diet, (besides the die-off), and had begun

to see some improvement with my energy levels, less coating on the

tongue etc. I was very conscious of maintaining my weight, (as I'm a

very thin build and suffered from an eating disorder in the past),

which was stable.

The last couple of weeks my energy had waned which I attributed to

die-off as I'd been increasing the levels of coconut oil. On friday

when the paramedic arrived and checked by blood sugar level it was

very low and I could not sit up without assistance. Needless to say I

was given some sugar which stabilized me for the trip to hospital. I

was monitored for about 6 hours and given further glucose

intravenously and told I had suffered from hypoglycemia, (I'm not a

diabetic). I was told to discontinue with the diet and follow it up

with my GP.

I won't go into detail, but since last April, after finally

pinpointing candida as the cause of the symptoms I've been

experiencing for the past 8 years it has been a veritable

rollercoaster ride. My frustration is that I've found the resources

and info available at this message board most useful and very

illuminating and felt I was on the way to a positive outcome. I'm

still feeling lousy and am having difficulties stabilizing my blood

sugar levels all the while thinking how much worse I'm going to feel

after the candida has feasted on all the carbs I've consumed.

So you can see my dilemma. I really would like to continue with your

treatment plan but with my history and current state of physical well

being this may not be practical. Should I go down the conventional

medical path, (which up to this point I'd been avoiding), at least as

a stop gap until I'm in a better state or am I overlooking something

else? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Kind regards, .
