This advice came to me from my wonderful doctor. he recognized thrush immediately and told me how to get rid of it once and for all. You should find a doctor who is more informed. Some docs are old schooled and not open to new methods. I may take some research on your part to locate a doc like this but it is well worth it. Its kinda like finding a job that fits you. Finding medical advice that you argree with is personal. Once fit is not for all . I had to go out of my insurance docs , but i found one. Not all docs are bad! I brush my tongue with baking soda, don't rinse my mouth to allow the baking soda to penetrate the surface of my tongue, wait 15 minutes and then gargle/mouth rinse with water/hydrogen peroxide, one tablespoon of each, taken in four sips, and held in your mouth as long as you can. I encourage you to try the gargle, and keep your mouth very clean and free of food debris. The complete cure of thrush will only happen when you adhere to a strict diet, improve your immune system, and re- establish good bacteria. All of this is outlined in Bee's files. What is your name please? No tests are conclusive for candida. And the only way to cure mouth thrush or candida overgrowth in any other part of the body is by building up the immune system with the diet plus supplements I recommend. In other words, candida cannot just be " killed off " to cure it. The reason is because the body itself must become strong enough to " make " candida and other bugs in the body " change back " into the nice friendly organisms they are supposed to be in the body. That is why my program works so well. It starts with diet plus supplements, eliminating high carbs, sugars, toxic and damaging foods, etc. that feed candida (also they feed cancer and other bacteria), etc. ==>You can treat the thrush directly to help with the symptoms but only the body can heal itself when it becomes strong enough. I suggest you read the article emailed to you when you joined " Candida Basics by Bee " ; also found in our Group's Files (left-hand menu) in the 2nd folder. Also see the " C) Treatments " Folder in the files and look for the " Thrush Treatments " article. The best in health, Bee

I get a little bit during the night and that's it. I also made a mouthwash with water and essential oils like clove, peppermint, and tea tree and for a while I did what someone else suggested which is putting a few drops of tea tree oil on your toothbrush (after you are done brushing your teeth) and then brush your tongue with it. a
Guest guest
The fact that you have been on the diet a year kind of rules it out, but I am wondering if your body has only just changed to ketosis. Have you been having more carbs or quite a lot of veg and have cut it back lately? I know that I had a horrible metallic taste in my mouth for a few weeks when my body changed over to ketosis. The other thing is that your body may be finally ridding itself of some toxins through your mouth. If you have fillings, you may be offloading mercury or other heavy metals. It could be that even changing over to ketosis can trigger toxin elimination, so that any taste like that in the mouth is to do with toxins however it happens. Haven't a clue if this would help, but hopefully if you can stick it out, it will pass. Ali. > > I've been on the diet for a year now and over the last 3 weeks eggs have tasted like metal to me. I can't stand it, especially since eggs are a staple. At first I thought it was the eggs but I made my husband taste everything I ate and he always said it was fine. So, I know that it is me. What could this be from? > > Corinne >
