Guest guest
Hi Adam, Congratulations on the excellent results! As for the cholesterol, that can be a very confusing issue. We can thank main stream misinformation for that. But really, you have no need to be concerned. First cholesterol has been discussed many times in the post. To save yourself time, you might want to consider simply searching old post, and you can often time find the answers you are looking for with in minutes. Here is a quote from Bee from a previous post, on the topic of cholesterol. " It is important to know that initially this program will increase cholesterol because of detoxification... The body deals with toxins in a very orderly fashion and one of the steps is raising blood lipids (HDL, LDL and VLDL cholesterol) but they are temporary while you are detoxifying. " Additionally, I would recommend reading this article. http://health.msn.com/centers/cholesterol/articlepage.aspx?cp-documentid=1001728\ \ 01 & page=1 Its a main stream article, and even this article outlines the fact that the cholesterol issue is questionable. And to anyone sick of me referencing this article, I'm sorry! I know, I know, I have been doing it a lot lately. But since Irene posted it (thanks Irene) it has come in handy in so many ways. Sure its less scientific than other articles I could reference, but that makes it easier to read to some extent. Thanks to all of you for humoring me. Guest guest
Hey Adam... Could you please post the exact number of your LDL???? Is it still in the " normal range " even though it doubled from the last time you had it checked? What is your total cholesterol number, and HDL too? I wouldn't be concerned. I supposedly have (soon to change to HAD) a great doctor, and all of my family goes to him as well. He has my dad and 42-year-old brother on statins for cholesterol. My dad had a heart attack 3 years ago, and was on statins at the time, if I remember correctly. (I'll ask). He's also the same doctor who put me on 2 rounds of Ciprofloxin 3 years ago because he thought I " might " have prostatitis because I had a horrible pain around my kidneys for 2 months. (Adrenals?) I went to see him earlier this year for fatigue and had to insist on doing all bloodwork. He said my fatigue is " normal " for someone around 40, and I needed to start exercising more for depression, or he would be glad to start giving me antidepressants. The more I think about it, I would use doctors only for pre-screening for certain diseases or for emergency purposes only. I think most of the time, they are " stabbing in the dark. " I believe most of the people who go to the doctor are suffering from fatigue, chronic pains, depression, etc... caused by our diets, but the doctors can't wait to simply dispense the drugs given to them by the pretty drug- pushing drug reps so everyone can make a lot of money. They try to mask our symptoms, but in my case, they haven't even been able to do that!!! *off my soapbox* Thanks! Doug > > Hi I havent been on in a long time, but have a bit of a concern. Guest guest
Hi, thanx for the response. Here are my results: Cholesterol: 6.4 mmol/L A Triglyceride: 0.5 mmol/L HDL Cholesterol: 1.88 mmol/L LDL Cholesterol: 4.3 mmol/L A chol/HDL ratio: 3.4 Ratio My LDL Cholesterol should not be higher than 2.5 mmol/L according to this test. And has doubled since last time this test was taken. I was offered medication for this and I declined. On this test it said the total cholesterol should be about <4 mmol/L, mine shows 6.4 Was told my " good " cholesterol was excellent, but the " bad " cholesterol was a little concerning. I agree that most of our maladies are caused by our diets and much more for those who are already struggling with other problems as well as candida. I am doing well on my diet, but just a little edgy over this bad cholesterol finding and really hope its temporary or not something I should really concern myself with... Doctors are too ready to medicate their patients. Comments welcome. > Hey Adam... > > Could you please post the exact number of your LDL???? Guest guest
Hi, thanx heaps for the time you gave on your response. Never repetitive, always other people needing this info. I hope that in my case the cholesterol is up due to detoxifying.. thanks for the link. I noticed those people had a low " bad " cholesterol levels and were eating similar foods and fats to me, and wonder if its my inactivity that is part of the problem here. Im chronically fatigued pretty much from virus and have trouble with activity. Is part of the reason why those people have the low levels because they are living a more active lifestyle? as opposed to the sedentary lifestyle of the west? I hope to lower my bad chol levels, but if it's simply a non issue, ok. If it's temporary? great. I like the sound of the detoxing side of it, hope that's the case with myself. Ive read a lot of the weston Price articles and the other ones but my concer is my own bad cholesterol levels doubling. I had a look on here for older comments on this, but didnt find too many. Cheers. > Hi Adam, > > Congratulations on the excellent results! As for the cholesterol, that > can be a very confusing issue. We can thank main stream > misinformation for that. Guest guest
Areyou in the states??? I've never seen cholesterol numbers given in figures like you posted. (mmol/L) Most of the time it is posted as mg/dl For instance the last time I had mine checked in 2006 (Ideal range in []) : Cholesterol 244 mg/dl [<200] Triglycerides 51 " [<150] HDL 56 " [>40] LDL Calculated 178 " [<130] Chol/HDL ratio: 4.4 [0.0 - 4.5] Maybe I should be happy my " bad " cholesterol is high? > > Here are my results: > > Cholesterol: 6.4 mmol/L A > Triglyceride: 0.5 mmol/L > HDL Cholesterol: 1.88 mmol/L > LDL Cholesterol: 4.3 mmol/L A > chol/HDL ratio: 3.4 Ratio >
Guest guest
Hey Adam, Like I said, I don't think you should be too concerned especialy since everything else is so good. I would stick to Bee's diet, and go back in 6 months and have it retested. You might see enough improvement by that time to make you feel more at ease. Guest guest
Hey Adam, You are welcome for the response and the link. " ) I also wanted to say that even though your cholesterol should normalize if you follow bees plan, exercise or lack there of is also apart of the equation. Exercise helps your body detox. If you exercise, it helps your lymphatic system do its job better, and helps move the toxins out of your body faster. Which in the long run should normalize your cholesterol faster. Now don't panic, I am not advocating running 15 miles a day, I'm talking about the real simple stuff like walking 15 minutes a day, just getting up and walking around will help. A little walk a day does a body good.
