Coffee enema and anxiety

I had my 4th coffee enema yesterday. This was the first time I have

been able to hold 2 full enemas for 12 mins. A few hours later I had a

massive anxiety attack. I have not had an 'attack' like this for some

time but I still suffer from a lot of anxiety on a day to day basis.

My first enema I did I felt some anxiety too afterwards. I keep

reading how most people feel so great after but I don't seem to feel

that way. Are they even related? Would love some advice from those of

you who have done this before.

Many thanks!

Hi,

I have done 3 coffee enemas, but far apart. The first I did

accidentally with non organic coffee. I had no reaction. The second I

did with organic coffee and didn't feel well for a few days. The third

I did with organic coffee and felt bad for a week. Now I am afraid to

do another one at this time.

Thanks for sharing Ellen,

Yes, I'm getting afraid too but hoping maybe the more I do the less

the anxiety.

Hello ,

Depending on where your body is at healing wise, I think there will be

times when you feel very good after a coffee enema, and times when you

may not feel so good as the healing process is not predictable.

I have experienced similar reactions when I began coffee enemas, but

after about three coffee enemas or so, it didn't happen anymore.

Since coffee is a very strong detoxifier that helps decongest the

liver which causes it to dump toxins, I believe my body was reacting

to the toxins that were being dumped, so I was happy to know the

coffee enema was doing what it was suppose to do.

Whenever I planned to do an enema, I made sure it was a stay at home

day, so I could relax and take my time and rest afterwards. I would

make a pot of soup or stew ahead of time, to have it available for

nourishment afterwards.

I always made sure I did the dry brush massage before every enema, and

followed it with an epsom salt/coconut oil or a H202 bath.

Have you read Bee's file How to Detoxify Effectively? I have found

that very helpful. Actually there are many files in Healing Naturally

& Die-Off Symptoms that would be very helpful to read.

Hope this helps. :-)

Hi Debra,

Thanks for the info -- again. It is so helpful knowing that this may

be 'normal'. I do the dry skin brushing everyday and drink the

electrolyte drink daily too. I have frequent epsom salt baths as well.

I woke up this morning feeling pretty good but soon afterward I

started feeling horrible again. I'll just try to ride it out again.

I was wondering if you knew where these toxins are being released. If

they are being released back in the blood stream somehow, wouldn't

they go back through the liver again.

Ever grateful -

==>Hi . You did 2 full enemas, and held them each for 12

minutes? One enema is 2 cups of liquid held 12 minutes one time.

==>The Coffee Enema article explains what happens:

" The coffee is absorbed into the hemorrhoidal vein (in the anus), and

then it is taken up to the liver by the portal vein.

With the bile ducts dilated, bile carries toxins away to the gastro-

intestinal tract. Simultaneously, peristaltic activity (movement of the

bowel) is encouraged because of the flooding of the lower colon. Thus,

when the colon is evacuated, the toxins and bile are carried out of the

body.

The caffeine from the coffee is absorbed into this circulatory system

and goes directly to the liver where it acts as a very strong

detoxifier. It decongests the liver, and causes it to dump its toxins.

It causes the liver to produce more bile (which contains processed

toxins) and stimulates the gall bladder to dump its contents which

flows directly into the small intestine for elimination.

This frees up the liver, enabling it to process toxins more

efficiently, particularly candida toxins and those caused by killing

off candida. The coffee only goes to the liver, and does not circulate

throughout the body so it does not act like drinking caffeine would.

Caffeine also stimulates an enzyme used by the liver to make its

detoxification pathways run. This enzyme is used to form glutathione

(an amino acid), which is one of the main components that enable toxins

to be eliminated via the bile into the small intestine. Therefore a

coffee enema speeds up detoxification and minimizes the backlog of

detoxified substances. "

Thanks Bee - I am thinking the next couple of coffee enemas might be

same and then it will get better.

==>That's probably why you had more symptoms. Put in 2 cups (filling a

bulb syringe twice because it holds 1 cup), and after the 2 cups are in

you retain it for 12 minutes.

Below are the instructions from the files. I read it to mean: have two

enemas, 2 cups for each enema.

Thanks -

Procedure

It is best to do an enema after a bowel movement so the bowel is

empty. It helps to first clean out the bowel with a water-only enema,

which is immediately emptied.

The goal is to have two enemas, not exceeding 1/2 a quart (2 cups)

each, that you are able to hold for 12 to 15 minutes each. Usually 2

or 3 times will use up all of the enema, but that is not your goal.

The goal is being able to hold it for 12 to 15 minutes.

==>Sorry, I see what you mean. The instructions aren't very clear.

You do 2 enemas; the 1st one is clear water using 2 cups which you do

not retain. The 2nd one is coffee using 2 cups which is retained. I

will have to re-write those instructions. Thanks!

,

I also did the clear enema and then 1 quart of coffee doing 2 enemas

of 2 cups each. That may have been why I felt so bad also. I have more

hope now. Thanks.

Hi Ellen,

I am hoping too but feeling this poor I am losing all hope! This is

not die-off, I feel like I am having an uncontrollable anxiety attacks

but I know this is not anxiety - just feels like a constant panic

attack. Today I feel lousy again as well.

What were your symptoms?

Thanks -

I am so sorry you are having these bouts of panic/anxiety. I just

wanted to mention that I did a probiotic enema the other night and

immediately following my heart started racing and I felt a bit sketchy.

It subsided after a few hours but I have to assume it was die-off since

it happened in direct correlation to the enema - but then later went

away. I really hope it lets up for you SOON !!!

Take good care,

==>, I recommend you do deep breathing exercises to decrease

your anxiety levels. They are very simple and easy to do anytime

anywhere. The reason they help is because they switch your body's

nervous system over from running on high speed (from the sympathetic

to the parasympathetic systems). See this article:

Let me know how you do.

Hey - Happy New Year!

Thanks - I'm not sure if bouts are actual anxiety attacks but that is

the best way I can describe them.

Thanks Bee - I do breathing exercises on a regular basis. The lousy

feeling I describe feels like a panic attack almost but I don't think

it is - it is just the best way to describe how I am feeling - as

well as feeling fatigued.

Fatigue was my main symptom after the coffee enemas. That has been

my main problem caused by candida but after the coffee enema it was

really bad. I will try it again with the lesser amount of coffee. I

know the feeling of anxiety you get but fortunately mine is not very

often and mild. But it is an awful feeling.
