Lilly, thanks so much. I'm glad to hear you tried the whey and that

you didn't do well on it. So I'm right after all, eh?

Bee,

before I really understood what was going on in my body--I would use whey

protein prior to working out----not only did I FEEL horrible, I also looked so

bad people would ask me if I was okay. I have no reason to experiment with

that. Your plan works, Bee.....in my opinion, if it is not broke, don't fix

it!!!! This is good.

Thanks again.....Debra

hi bee

why are we not allowed whey? does it contain lactose? or is it just difficult

to digest? may be a stupid question, but i never suspected whey would be a

problem, i used to use it in home made mayonnaise and lemonade thanx joe

Hey Joe, before I started on Bee's program, I used to have whey shakes

with coconut oil and fresh made almond milk nearly every day for

breakfast. I could never understand why I would get so tired and

sleepy from having that shake every morning. If I wanted to get

anything done that morning, I would have to do it before I drank the

shake because afterwards, I would immediately (within 30 mins) need a

2-hour nap. Since having Bee's egg drink in the mornings, I am not

tired. I honestly believe that my body just cannot digest the whey. I

think the lactose in it was feeding the candida and I have noticed

that anything that feeds the candida too much, in me, makes me tired

and all I want to do is sleep. Hope this helps some.

Hi Jo.

There has been lots of recent discussion on this topic. You can search

the message archives to read more. Bee put an article in the files

about whey. See the Candida Shopping List file for an article entitled

" Whey Protein Isolate Powder Not Recommended "

Debra, thanks for letting me know you tried the whey protein. It

confirms what I believe, that dairy, other than butter, are not good

for candida sufferers. My plan does work quite well for sure!

==>joe, this subject has been discussed many times on this group.

Please do a search of the archives to review them and look for messages

I have written. Real whey is not a problem for healthy people but it

does caused problems for candida.

==>Hi Jo. That's because it is dairy and it contains lactose (sugar)

which feeds candida; see the Probiotics section of my main article for

more information about why dairy is bad for candida sufferers.

From what I gather that makes a big difference, by products and

extraction with heat damages the protein. I think the best one is

immunepro, its undenatured specially filtered etc. Same concept as

pasturisation/unpasturised. I think you can get some lactose free

also but not 100% on that

the need to have it should make the " real thing " right from milk -

there's a recipe in our Recipe Folder.

, in a lot of the tests that used very good whey isolate the dose was

3-4 10-gram pouches. Some CFIDS people who use that kind of dose report being

" slammed " which may indicate a Herxheimer-Jarish reaction or a jump out of

homeostasis.

Because whey is a great metabolic enhancer, body builder and toner, and has

several other valuable properties to take advantage of, it makes sense to some

people to use a much cheaper undenatured whey that is about 3/4 as potent yet

only about 1/8 of the price of say Immunocal for example.
