Guest guest
I can surely relate! (Not with all the job stuff... but with depression and loss of appetite lately). Things that tasted good 2 weeks ago are not interesting anymore. I've found it easiest to do the egg drink in the morning, and soup for lunch. Today, I'm doing soup for lunch and supper. (A frozen quart jar of leftover soup I thawed yesterday, and I'm doing a new soup for supper... I picked the chicken off the bones last night, and have had the bones simmering for a day). I can make 5-6 quarts of soup with each pot, and I immediately put it in the fridge to cool prior to freezing it. Then I take the jars out the day before I plan on eating them. Even if I don't have an appetite, the soup is so yummy that I have no problem eating it!!! Doug That's how out of it I am. Not sleeping > well, just floating through the days. Guest guest
Hi Cathe, My goodness it sounds like you are in a very stressful situation. Please remember that a calm mind makes the best decisions. I'm not sure what kind of work your husband does but maybe a recruiter could help him find something new. When did your stomach issues start- when the stress did? Remember stress can make your overall health mch worse and depression makes you immunecompramised as well. Without focusing on your stomach issues alone, have you tried meditation or relaxation techniques to help to clear your head. Ginger can also relieve an upset stomach. Please feel better and remember to take it one day at a time. You are not alone! Heidi Cathe Schmidt <cathe616@...> wrote: A week ago today my husband lost his job. Without boring you with the details, I'll just say that he has suffered several career blows in the last three years. We relocated two years ago out of state for a job, then relocated again in Oct. of '07 for another job. Now we are in a small town with no prospects for work other than the company that paid for us to move here (five hours from where we were when we first came to this state) and who just fired him. We are at a crossroads and don't know which way to go. Because of this situation AGAIN, I am feeling depressed. I have little appetite but know I have to make myself eat. When I eat, I'm not digesting well and have had horrendous gas pains the last few days. I shy away from HCl because I have been found to have H. pylori and don't want to make myself have an ulcer. (Not sure if that's what would happen but don't want to take any chances.) I did the ileocecal massage and regular intestinal massage today and it helped some. My kids can feel the stress, I'm sure, and they are acting up. I don't want to put them in school but they are way more than a handful under the best of circumstances. I still feel crappy physically most days so am not as up to dealing with all of this stress as I would be if I were well. My question is this: When I feel like I can't even get through another day, what can/should I eat to keep going? It's after noon and all I've had so far is a 2-egg raw egg drink and I'm not sure I even put my VCO in it. That's how out of it I am. Not sleeping well, just floating through the days. I don't want to screw up my healing regimen but I am not doing well. Thanks for listening and sorry to be a downer. ~Cathe --------------------------------- Looking for last minute shopping deals? Guest guest
Doug, So are you talking bone broths or are you putting veggies in? I keep thinking bone broth would be good but I need to get up the energy to make it. Soup does sound good. Thanks for the idea. ~Cathe > I can surely relate! Guest guest
Bone broths with plenty of meat and veggies added in (including the fat). Sorta makes a whole meal... plus it's VERY tasty! Guest guest
Hi Heidi, Thank you for your sweet post. Yes, we've done the recruiter route-- that's pretty much how he has to go now since he has nearly 20 years in his field. He lost his job last week but I started feeling sick a few days ago. I am thinking now it could be from chili I made a few nights ago. I had been having a really stuffy head, so made chili (all ingredients were good for the diet) but I put some extra cayenne in my bowl. I wonder if that did it? I keep having problems in the place where it seems my stomach would empty into my intestines. Then my whole intestinal tract feels gurgly and even painful with gas at times. Yesterday I was in misery. Stools are pale and very thin--sorry for the visual but that's not normal for me. Sinuses are not as bad now and I know it's all related. I do some yoga stretches from time to time but really need to do it more regularly. Especially, I like the breathing part. I need to get out in the sunshine more, too. I finally did eat today and even had quite a bit for supper so I must be feeling better. But I can still feel a sensitivity just under my stomach. I'm drinking ginger tea right now and going to relax for the rest of the evening. Oh, yeah, and I've been belching too. Do you think this is from die-off? Or the cayenne? Is cayenne maybe antifungal? Sorry for all the questions...and thanks again for your post. ~Cathe > My goodness it sounds like you are in a very stressful situation. Please remember that a calm mind makes the best decisions. Guest guest
I almost forgot!! I started feeling so bad after I did a one-cup water only retained enema. I had done this a few weeks back with no major problems, but this time I have had problems with my bowels ever since. ~Cathe

Gas pains are caused by candida which puts out carbon dioxide (gas). ==>When you are stressed your body will be running on its sympathetic nervous system which speeds up heart rate, adrenaline, etc. and also cuts downs on digestive capabilities. Do deep breathing exercises frequently to switch your body over to its parasympthetic nervous system - see these articles: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/menu1_4_1.php > > My kids can feel the stress, I'm sure, and they are acting up. Have the egg drink with at least 2 eggs 3 times a day if you need to, along with supplements. And/or eat mainly a liquid diet, including bone broths, soup, etc. Take enough HCl tablets too - see this article; http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/dig5.php Bee

Sorry for all the > questions...and thanks again for your post. ==>Yes cayenne is antifungal so it kill off candida which puts out carbon dioxide (gas) in the stomach and digestive tract. Guest guest
> ==>Cathe, my heart goes out to you and your husband. I will pray > that you come out of this okay! > > Hello Bee, Thanks for your prayers. We have been through a lot in our marriage but the last four or so years have really been h*ll. He almost died from sepsis in 2004, my oldest was hospitalized with pneumonia and anemia the same week, my dh lost a great job due to downsizing in 2005 (he'd been there almost 8 years), our oldest was diagnosed with PDD-NOS (autistic spectrum) after many years of us wondering WHAT was going on with him, we almost lost our house due to foreclosure, we moved out of state, moved again but now near no one we know (my mother at least lived near the last place we were.) It's just been wearing, to say the least. And two months after we moved to this state (NC), I fell and hit the ground chin-first. Didn't even think to use my arms to stop my fall. Something went *pop* in my neck, and I got sick within a week...and have been so, off and on, ever since. I am a survivor, a fighter, but this is getting old. A little respite would be nice! > ==>H. pylori is caused by low stomach acid! When you're a nervous wreck, I'm sure digestion freezes or slows way down, so things are not going to work as they should. > ==>Because stress interferes with digestion a liquid diet is best. > Have the egg drink with at least 2 eggs 3 times a day if you need > to, along with supplements. I did eat some pork rinds because we had to go get groceries in the next town and I didn't have any way to bring egg drink or broth with me. The only HCl I could find around here also contains digestive enzymes as well as some probiotics. Not ideal, but better than nothing until I order the Betaine HCl from online. I was skeptical but very surprised! My bloating/gas pain went down considerably!! And my brain and eyes felt clearer than they had in a long time! Woke up with some discomfort in my intestines again today, but nothing like the last few days. Going to eat on the lighter side again today and take the HCl with the rest of the program (including sun, I did get out in the sun yesterday, too) and see how that goes. Thanks for everything, Bee. You rock!! ~Cathe
Guest guest
Dear Cathe, I rock? Thanks! I try. LOL! Cathe, you " are " a fighter and you will get through these trials and tribulations! Think positive by " believing " you'll get total respite now and in the future! You do not need just a " respite " , you need a total recreation of your future! Flourish and prosper in the face of adversity! Pray a lot and flood yourself with positive thoughts! I have a quotation above my computer, on my fridge, in my car, on the mirror which states: " I am an amazing and intelligent person, and I deserve my dreams! " Do whatever it takes to " stay positive! " Pampering yourself is a good start. Languid in the sun, and dream a lot! Visualize what your " ideals in life " will be (not " should " be). I used to tell my girls that I was Number One. That is because I have to be fit enough to " be there " for them and others, so I take care of myself first. At the time I was taking University Courses 2 nights a week, studying 25 hours a week, raising 2 girls by myself, and holding down a Management job! Also my girls were active in sports, music, and other activities so Mom was the chauffeur! Often my girls had to make appointments with me. LOL! They grew up to be very responsible, caring, talented young women so I did something right, eh? Take good care Cathe, and pamper and reward yourself. When you do well on the program buy yourself a house plant, a book, a knick knack or something else (not related to food). I'm so happy the probiotics with HCl helped you!
