Guest guest
Hi everyone, I'm new to the group. I have been working on my daughter's candida since birth (unfortunately she was given tons of antibiotics at birth--ARGGH). We have made some progress but it seems I can no longer manage the no grains diet, she's become too aware. I have her on saccaromyces boulardii which has helped and some homeopathic candida remedies but we need more help. Anyone been successful treating a toddler? Thanks,
Guest guest
I struggle too with this. My son was having issues eating solid foods, so back in October I let him have a crunchy cookie to see what he'd do with it. He ate every crumb of it with no problem. Then shortly after that he learned to say cookie and now he asks for them constantly. Cookie, Cookie, all day long. He's allowed to have ONE per day, and that's it. I try to get them at whole foods so they are at least a little bit better, and he's not allowed to have them unless he's finished his meat and veggies. I'm finding it very hard with him at this age. When he was younger I just gave him pureed meat and veggies all the time, and he'd never tasted anything else so didn't know what to ask for. Now he get's pissed off and refused to eat a lot of things, and I break down and give him yogurt, cheese or cookies, which I was fine with him having in small amounts, but if he had his way that's all he would eat. I'm a big sucker where he is concerned, so actually my husband is doing a lot of cooking for him now, and makes him low carb foods for dinner (like little hamburger patties, or chicken drummettes), and I cook him eggs and bacon/sausage every day for breakfast. Also my husband cuts him off when he starts pleading for cookies and yogurt where as if it's just me watching him I always get done in by his pleas... he doesn't even try that with my husband. Don't know if that helps but at least we can commiserate. Luv, Debby San , CA --- jjcox22 <jjcox22@...> wrote: > Hi everyone, > I'm new to the group. Give her probiotics as recommended in my article " How to Successfully Overcome Candida " sent to you when you joined. > > Anyone been successful treating a toddler? ==>We've had many members who have, but you do need to be strong about having no grains and other foods that feed candida. The best to you, Bee
