Guest guest
Hello, Doris. Slowly, but surely, by following Bee's program. First, we stop consuming foods and beverages that are preferred by Candida and which they thrive on (and which helped to establish the overgrowth to begin with, among other things). We also stop consuming toxic drugs (where possible) and antibiotics that encourage a candida yeast overgrowth condition. We also do our best to minimize our exposure to toxins in the foods and beverages we do consume, as well as environmental toxins, which tax our bodies and suppress our immune systems. This is the first step towards helping to boost your immune system in the presence of a candida overgrowth because it makes for a more difficult environment for which candida can live in, essentially suppressing it. It is difficult for our immune system to gain strength when the overgrowth still exists, so we move on to the next steps. Secondly, we consume foods, beverages, and essential supplements that help to boost our immune system, which provide it with all of the necessary nutrients that it requires to be 're-built' and allows it to more successfully combat any Candida invasion and then keep it from returning. By consuming these types of foods, we are simultaneously enhancing digestion and nutrient absorption. Third, we consume and utilize foods and natural substances (as well as non-harmful prescription medications such as nystatin) to help to kill off and remove the candida yeast/fungus from our systems while following the nutrient dense diet to help support the immune system. Additionally, we take measures to help our body detoxify effectively. Fourth, we consume probiotic lacto-fermented beverages and foods (only certain ones as per the files) and supplements that help to replenish the beneficial bacteria in our digestive tracts that have been diminished by the overgrowing candida yeast. Over time, this rebalances the intestinal flora and is beneficial to the immune system as the probiotic bacteria help combat pathogens, and especially help to keep candida yeast/fungus 'in check.' All of these steps are outlined in Bee's main candida article in the Files section of the group, as well as recommendations as to when to begin each phase of the program so that you are not overwhelming your body with too much at any given phase. It would be a great idea to read her main article and the other documents in the Files section for more additional details. I hope this helps answer your question to some degree.
