Guest guest
> > Hi, I was wondering what I could do to have a period. I haven't started the diet yet but I haven't had a period after taking myself of my synthroid and then the doctor put me on birth control to regulate me then I stoped taking my birth control and now its been two months since a period. What do I do I do want to have kids, do you think this could be candida related? When I found out I had a thyroid problem I was never regular before doing the radioactive iodine, or synthroid. What are your thoughts on this or suggestions? I also have had some luck at times with taking the herb black cohosh to have a period, but this is usually used for menopause. ==>Hi. Welcome to our group. What is your name please? Many members of this group have had their periods return to normal and others have had their menstrual cycle stabilize along with their hormones on this program. Yes, candida is very much involved in menstrual problems and hormone levels because candida toxins make all of the body's cell go rigid (stiff) so that nutrients, hormones, etc. are less able to get into them where they are needed to do their job, and this also interferes with the body's ability to produce hormones, including the thyroid. Birth control pills are toxic/poisonous to the body, just like antibiotics and any other drugs, and they wipe out the good bacteria in the digestive tract which often starts candida overgrowth. The only cure for your problems is diet plus supplements which provide your body with the nutrients it needs in order to build up your immune system, along with eliminating foods that feed candida (mostly sugars and high carbs), and eliminating toxinsm, including all drugs. Once the immune system is normal it will " make " candida change back into the nice friendly organism it is supposed to be in the body. Candida cannot just be " killed off " - it doesn't work that way. The immune system must be capable enough to " make it change " . I recommend you read all you can so you understand candida and what to do to cure it; see our Group's Files (left menu) and you will find my main candida articles in the 2nd Folder. Also see the many other Folders on candida to help you along the way, i.e. Candida Diet Lists, Shopping Lists, Candida Symptoms, Help For, Recipes, etc., etc. - there are over 700 articles/recipes.
