Hi Matt...

I play guitar semi-professionally. When I really started playing

alot again about 5 years ago, I started too fast too soon, and ended

up with tendonitis/carpel tunnel real bad in both arms/wrists. For 2

years, I took 8 Advil per day, along with using ice and wrist

braces. (I wonder if weak wrists/carpal tunnel have anything to do

with candaisis???)

Anyway, I know that was probably bad for my body, but my liver blood

tests have been normal every time I had them checked over the past 2

years. The body is pretty resilient.

Also, I think this diet can reverse harm we have done. The advil

with sleep aid is a crutch for you. Give them up and search for some

natural sleep aid ideas on here, and you'll probably sleep even

better! I'm lucky to sleep 6 hours now, but I look forward to

getting better on this diet eventually so that I can sleep like I

could when I was younger!

You could always have your liver levels checked with a blood test to

ease your mind. Do you just take one or two before bed????

Also, I think Tylenol is a lot more harmful to the kidneys than Advil.

Advil is more liver/stomach from what I've heard. One year of evening

use doesn't sound like too much to worry about... but I'm no expert.

Hi Matt, I wouldn't worry too much about damage done. The body is a

pretty amazing as is this diet. I have a feeling that you will sleep a

lot better once you start the diet. I find if I eat coconut oil before

going to bed I do not sleep as well. Lavender oil is nice to help one

sleep, just rub it on your temples and smell it via diffuser or just

take a few whifs. Valerian root, lemon balm and chamomile tea are also

wonderful sleep aids. Epsom salt baths always make me sleep very good

as well. Best in health! Crystal

Hi Matt,

I had a friend who has bee relying on sleeping pill for 3 years. SHe is now

losing her vision. Get alternatives. Find out the cause of your insomnia-stress?

active mind?

It helps if you take calcium/magnesium. Works for me everytime

Hi Matt,

Like Crystal said, your body will heal on this diet. If you have trouble

sleeping without the Advil PM you can try taking magnesium citrate before

going to bed. I take it and sleep great when before I used to wake up

between midnight and 2 AM and then lie awake for hours. I take 800-1,000 mg

- not sure what this group thinks about the amount.

Hi Doug,

Thank's for your reply, I play guitar too, every morning for about 2 hours.

I think the diet will help your carpel tunel, it seems to fix just about

everything else.

I was taking 2 a night, not that many to hurt me I guess.

How long have you been on the diet.

==>Hi Matt. Any and all drugs are toxic/poisonous to the body, and

they will depress your immune system and cause many problems. Instead,

buy some good herbal combinations to help you sleep, or drink catnip or

camomile tea before bed. You can also take a hot bath with Epsom Salts

just before bedtime to help you sleep (your skin absorbs the magnesium

and helps you relax). Taking magnesium citrate at bedtime is also

helpful (maybe take your last dose at bedtime). If you need something

for pain take White Willow Bark capsules.

==>If Advil affected your liver or kidneys you would have pain in those

areas. If you want to make sure they are okay stop taking Advil, and

do everything you can to help your body detoxify; see " How to Detoxify

Effectively " , which is in the " C) Treatments " Folder.

==>Hi Doug. Weak painful wrists/carpal tunnel can be caused by more

than one or more factors:

1) A lack of B vitamins, particularly B6. All B vitamins should be

taken together in a balanced B Complex tablet as I recommend in the

Supplements list.

2) Candida toxins which make all of the body's cells go rigid, even

white and red blood cells which lessens circulation particularly to

the extremities - see the article " Candida Causes Cell Membrane

Defects " in the " B) Candida, All About " Folder.

3) When the diet has lacked good saturated fats, the cells will

incorporate bad fats into the make-up of the cell membranes, which

makes them weak; cell membranes need to be made out of 50% saturated

fat (lung cells require 100% saturated fat) in order to be healthy

like nature intended.

4) Lack of balanced nutrients (my diet plus supplements) which all

work together to make satrong cells, muscles, tendons, and other

tissues in the body.

5) Too many toxins which can settle into different areas such as the

wrists, joints, etc.
