Guest guest
When I fail to take my EFA's for about a week---essential fatty acids--, my heels develop a problem. Flax oil is the easiest to use. I generally grind half a cup of flax seeds in the blender and then use a tablespoon or two of it on cottage cheese (for the sulfur) with cherries or blueberries or asparagus (they have different benefits) and I add a Tablespoon of Barlean's flax oil to that. Fixes dry skin, scrubs the bowels, helps achy joints and more...Dr. Johanna Budwig has research that shows it's anti tumor. If you cannot take cottage cheese, a bit of MSM powder or a couple of capsules will help mobilize the flax oil. BTW, flax seeds are about 30% oil and go rancid quickly so be sure and store the leftover ground seeds in the frige. And never buy flax seed already ground up as it'll most likely be rancid. Guest guest
<<Before you go to bed.... Wash your feet (or soak them if you'd prefer) scrub your heels with a pumice stone and lotion. (I use a peppermint lotion I make with camphor and it feels great!) Then dry your feet and rub some cocoa butter onto your heels. I pretty much cake it on. Then I wrap saran wrap on my heels and up around my ankles, put on a pair of bootie socks with the toes cut out (it's still hot here in So. Cal) and hop in bed. In the morning I take it off and my heels are so much softer. Beware when you get in the shower though...it's a bit slippery! I promise this will work. During the summer I do it once a month for 3 nights in a row and my heels stay nice and smooth. Before I started doing this, my heels would crack so bad that they would hurt. Well, good luck!<< I've heard about doing this for dry hands, but using vitamin E instead of cocoa butter. I'm sure the cocoa butter would feel wonderful though. Sounds soothing. The plastic traps moisture on your skin and serves the dual purpose of keeping your sheets clean too.
Guest guest
Hi Those are other great ways to help soften your feet, hands, etc. I've also used Bag Balm & it works fabulously! Just another idea! Becky~ > > I've heard about doing this for dry hands, but using vitamin E instead of cocoa butter. I'm sure the cocoa butter would feel wonderful though. Sounds soothing. Guest guest
Thanks for the recommendations Bee. What about soaking in Epsom Salt? That is what I used to do? ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com

Guest guest
Bee, I've been soaking 3x/week with peroxide and my feet might look a bit better but I still get the cracks that bleed. Do you know anything about Emu oil? I've read that it can help. Thank you. **************************************Check out AOL's list of 2007's hottest products. Guest guest
Hi there, I have had cracked heels, not to the point of bleeding, though. What I have found that helps me is putting coconut oil on my feet after a shower or bath. If I don't keep this up pretty regularly (but does not have to be EVERY time), it comes back, which I am sure is related to a weak system in need of Bee's diet! but it does take away the symptom in a non-toxic manner. No more snagged socks, etc. Lora > > Bee, I've been soaking 3x/week with peroxide and my feet might look a bit > better but I still get the cracks that bleed. Do you know anything about Emu > oil? Guest guest
You might try soaking in epsom salts. When I get cracked heels it is usually because I am low in magnesium. Let me know if it helps you. Luv, Bee

Guest guest
, I had a split on the ball of my foot for years. Nothing would touch it. It was deep and bleeding at times. I had it treated more than once by a podiatrist and they could never sort it out. I used excellent organic cream, coconut oil etc. Well it is completely gone now. I couldn't believe it a few weeks ago when I realized it. I now attribute this to two things .. 1. Bee's protocol we have been on it 100% since Feb 2007 and the fact that about 2 months ago I started wearing REAL sheepskin slippers from NZ ALL the time in the house. I don't use socks and I think the lanolin from the wool has helped to quicken the healing from the outside.. because about a few weeks after wearing them I noticed it disappearing. I will say they are on probably 10 hours a day (I homeschool and run a business form home and were are here alot !). However I am getting boots to wear outside from the same company. I will say having researched the sheepskin boots/slippers there will be differences in how they are tanned and treated and that is why I chose this particular company. Now I may be in the UK and it is cool here but I was told by various people that they use sheepskin slippers in hot climates to help cool the feet.. will never have the opportunity to test that theory in the UK :-( unfortunately.
