Guest guest
I was wondering the same thing. Perhaps one of you experienced folk would be so kind as to give a list of what you would consider to be essential to have on hand . For instance, if I were going to cook, I would know that if I had flour, sugar, eggs, milk and a few important spices on hand, I would be able to make a variety of basic things. It would be so wonderful if anyone would be able to give a basics list. I would be very thankful. Lynnie
Guest guest
Debbie- Getting started all depends on first defining what you are interested in... Do you want to do soap, lotions, bath oils/salts, face creams, hair care products, cleaning products, poultices, clays, salt scrubs, foot soaks, masks, full body spa like treatment packs, etc. First define what your greatest need is or " want to " is and then the recipe and ingredient lists are much easier to define. Personally, when I teach I always start beginners off with a basic foot soak recipe and then go from there. Most people are not aware that your feet have the greatest number of pores on them per square inch, so if you are trying to do something to benefit the body this would be the place to begin for the greatest absorption capability outside of internal ingestion, and inhalation. Defining what the purpose of your end product is supposed to do will also help you with your ingredient list. Example: Is the product for uplifting, calming, cramps, cellulite dissolving, buffing, toning, cleansing, refining, tightening, etc. The next step is then taking into consideration if your are going to use all natural/organic ingredients or a combination of natural, organic and/or synthetic ones. Furthermore, how does this product have to be stored? Does it require a preservative? What kind of container does it need to be stored in to preserve the quality and life of the finished product? These questions all sound so complicated, but really they aren't. They only help you to better narrow the field so as to know the path you are going to follow. Prep work is more then half the battle!!! Think what a cook does before she makes a recipe...doesn't she always refer to a specific recipe and then she checks to see if she has all the ingredients. Your question is a good one, but it would be like you asking me how to " cook. " If I was a good teacher I would first want to know what you wanted to cook. There is a huge difference between cooking a 15# turkey and a velvet chiffon cake, and then for that matter, a lemon meringue pie verses a velvet chiffon cake. Narrow the playing field and the rest will just fall into place....hope this helps for now. Once you have defined these questions I would be more then willing to elaborated on specifics if you need them, okay?! Be blessed... Guest guest
Hi! I'm new too...in fourth week now. I'm eating a lot of oatmeal as a carbo and use it alot at like 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. (still having a hard time thinking of a protein to match). I also eat a lot of ff cottage cheese and ff yogurt combined as a meal at 10 and 3. Sounds gross, but it's really good. I've lost like 5 pounds and can get into (and look decent enought to wear) several pairs of slacks I couldn't wear on day 1. Good luck. Hope this helps some. Guest guest
--- Hey there! i also did bfl a few years back..and gained weight back..now am loosing it again. so I am there with you! but it is always a great experiance to come back to bfl when you know it is what works for you. my advice on how I started..I started out simple and easy again..by the book. I just pretended I was a newbie to bfl and just read the book and pretended like I was learning for the first time. that is how I have done my challenges. If you can do that..it is a great start. at least I think it is very important for your first new 12 weeks you are starting. I luv Precision protein powder by EAS. it is my favorite tasting protein powder. but I only really like the chocolate kind now. I use centrum performance for my vitamin and have really liked that vitamin. I also take flax oil as well..2 tbs a day. but..I did not start that till this 3rd challenge. so basically my staple product is protein powder and a vitamin. I eat exactly what I like to eat for my carbs and protein..I hate yams and not too found of potatoes so I don't eat them. I enjoy fruit and bread and yougurt for *my* carbs and have used them exclusively because I like them..and I refuse to eat things I don't like. it helps me stick to the program. Just don't feel like you have to eat things you hate to eat. I take free days like heck and enjoy them but work as hard as I can not to cheat during the week. my way that helps me not cheat is diet soda. I don't know why but it helps me..weird I know...lol. work hard as you can at those workouts..put everything you have into every single one and you will have an excellant challenge! This is great you are starting again! I bet you are gonna have a great time and see some really great results. also..hanging out here will help you out alot too. it is really fun and you can hear alot of real inspiration. you can make some great friends here too. I tend to jabber on...lol. but glad you are here! kathi In , " nailsbysheera " <nailsbysheera@y...> wrote: > I did BFL a few years back and did pretty good on it. Guest guest
Help! I just read " How To Get Started " and it IS overwhelming. The very first step " eliminate sugars " seems impossible, so I decided to start with the article on withdrawal symptoms. However, I have searched all through the files on the site and cannot find it. Can anyone tell me exactly how to get to it? Theresa >Hi Theresa, on the web site click on " files " on the left menu then a little ways down click on the folder " Candida Symptoms, Help for and under that is a file called " Withdrawal Symptoms, Cravings, Etc.htm " a
Guest guest
Hi Jecca, Thank you so much. Your link was one of a three-part article. I read all three parts and am so much clearer on 'the big picture' of what candida is and where to start. I would recommend this site to all 'newbies'! Guest guest
Hi Theresa, Thats great you read all of it! Originally, I just read the 3rd part when I started Bee's plan, since its complete enough to be helpful on its own. I was close to overloaded then, so I didn't want to push myself, there was just so much to absorb. It took me long enough to get a hang of just that part, that it was awhile before I even thought to go back and read the first two sections. So thats great you read it all right away. I am glad it helped! " ) Jecca > > Hi Jecca, > > Thank you so much. Your link was one of a three-part article.
