I have some notes on it but I have to look them up. Bee

This diet helps chelate out heavy metals so you can get a metallic taste from it, particularly if you have fillings in your teeth. The metallic taste can also be more prominent if you lack B vitamins, particularly B12 and biotin. B12 is very important for overall health, but in order for it to be absorbed there must be plenty of hydrochloric acid, along with other factors - see this article: http://www.westonaprice.org/basicnutrition/vitaminb12.html ==>B12 is found in liver, kidney, other meat, fish, shellfish, butter and eggs. Oyster, mussels and clams contain very high amounts. ==>Also ensure you are not drinking too much tea that contains tannic acid which also causes that metallic taste. ==>The taste can be alleviated with lemon in water, i.e. my electrolyte drink, and by gargling with 50/50 3% hydrogen peroxide and water several times a day (do not swallow it!). Detoxifying also helps it, i.e. coffee enemas, dry skin brushing, clove tea, Epsom salt baths, etc. Bee

Guest guest
, I have found Zinc helpful in getting rid of a metallic taste in my mouth. Shari
Guest guest
Several years back I had a horrible sinus infection/flulike bug that I could not shake. Zinc lozenges were pretty new (or at least it was the first time I had noticed them). Anyway, I bought some to try. I put one in my mouth and within five minutes I thought I had fallen off a cliff! I started to sweat, and break out in a rash. I started dry heaving, and for the rest of the day I really thought I was going to die. The horrible taste in my mouth lasted for days! At the time, I thought the reaction was an allergy or some sort of similar reaction to the zinc. I made the assumption that I must have had too much of it (zinc) in my system already and that is why it made me so sick. Seeing your post reminded me of that, and made me rethink it. It was probably some sort of severe die off or chelation. Have you ever heard of anything like that? 5 months 6 days > I have found Zinc helpful in getting rid of a metallic taste in my mouth. Guest guest
Dear , I've never heard of such a severe reaction to zinc like you had. Guest guest
I agree it was pretty severe. I do have to remind that I was also pretty darn sick before I took the zinc, so it may have been a combo thing, but that zinc lozenge definately triggered something nasty! I know that it was so bad, that I have never taken a zinc lozenge or supplement ever since, and I would have to be near death to even consider it in the future. No thank you. > I've never heard of such a severe reaction to zinc like you had.

Guest guest
Try dark chocolate. It works better than regular milk chocolate.
