Guest guest
how exciting for you how brave of you to keep looking for a helpful doc. my b-day is 3/1---when is baby due? Gracia , Congratulations!! I'm 34 weeks pregnant (baby is due in March) and I thought I was seriously going to die the first trimester. The information from this group was SO helpful. I started having severe hypo symptoms before I even knew I was pregnant. My 1st endo wanted to reduce my Armour (I was on 3 grains) and the next endo wanted to switch me to synthroid, even though I know I have trouble converting. I started self-medicating. This group recommended the top thyroid doc list, which is where I found endo #3. I'm now taking 5 grains and he is going to increase to 6 for the last month. I feel so much better. It is kind of hard distinguishing prego symptoms from hypothyroid symptoms though (tired, swelling, absolutely no energy By the way, I ended up taking my prenatals and folic acid at night to make sure they don't interfere with my meds. But I have to leave them by my nightstand to remember to take them! Guest guest
Thank you . It was a long time ago and I have two grown sons and a wonderful DIL, so it all worked out. Guest guest
hi michelle- ask for an ultrasound, if possible. they will be able to tell you approximately how old the little one is. in women who continue to either spot or bleed through the 1st trimester- it is almost impossible to date by the wheel so US's are used instead. ox nancie Pregnant > > Well, it is affirmed. Guest guest
Funny how things work out...last night I ran into a friend at the gym that I had not seen in a few months. I told her I was pregnant, and she recommended me to her midwife, who delivered all of her babies at home. So, I think I am going to see if I can use her. But, I don't have coverage for a midwife, so it is going to cost money. Hopefully it won't break the bank. The other scenario is that I had a c-section with my first, so I don't know what that means in terms of safety. I know many women have had normal deliveries after c-sections, so I will wait and see. I don't want another c-section, unless absolutely necessary. Thanks Crystal!! Crystal <sweetnwright@...> wrote: Have you found a midwife yet? CW -- Re: Pregnant Oh Nancie!! Guest guest
, a VBAC is totally possible if you find the right doc or midwife. A VBAC at home is also very do-able. Most midwives will do bartering if you ask them. I have blue-cross and wasn't allowed a home-birth and couldn't afford the home midwife so I used one at the hospital (not as good). You have waited the 2 year period that allows your uterus to heal so you should have no worries. The chance of having uterine rupture is less than 1% I believe. I had 2 VBACS and loved the chance I got to go that route. It took me a few docs to find the right one, but I am so glad I did. So I just want to encourage you that a VBAC is a great option. ALso, did you know that ricki Lake has a documentary called " The business of being born? " There is a website I think is the national c-section awareness something or the other. Please keep me posted, remember I am a midwife at heart! CW -- Re: Pregnant Oh Nancie!! Could I be that far along?? How would I know how far along I am?
