Guest guest
My wife is currently battling candida. She also had it back in the late 80's and got rid of it, but since then has had three major surgeries (births and hysterectomy)which has caused it to come back. We are a little confused about the diet that is mentioned on this group as compared to the Yeast Connection book. Bee's diet says no nuts, Yeast Connection says nuts OK. Bee's diet says no potatoes, Yeast Connections says eat causitously. These are just a couple of examples. Also, we're concerned about getting the proper amount of daily nutrition on this group's diet. My wife and I walk over 4 miles a day and have very demanding jobs. Eating low carb and high fat concerns me in that were does the energy come from. I realize you must " starve " the candida, but at the same time you don't want to loose too much weight. On this groups diet as compared to the book Yeat Connection for Womans Health I'm just a little confused. Thanks for the input.

Actually I did Dr. Crook's program, or tried to, 20 years ago when I cured my candida. By trial and error and much suffering I found certain things Dr. Crook recommends do not help a person with candida. Candida sufferers do much better if they follow my program. ==>Nuts are not only very hard for anyone to digest, but they are particularly bad for candida sufferers who have poor digestion. Also nuts are high in carbs and contain phytates that block mineral absorption and enzymes that interfere with protein digestion per my main article: How to Successfully Overcome Candida. ==>Potatoes are high in starch and like all carbs turn into glucose which feeds candida. > Also, we're concerned about getting the proper amount of daily nutrition on this group's diet. My wife and I walk over 4 miles a day and have very demanding jobs. Eating low carb and high fat concerns me in that were does the energy come from. ==>You will be much more energetic and efficient by running your body on good fats I recommend than running it on carbs which tax the body's resources in order to digest and utilize them as an energy source for the body. Good fats don't require bile nor digestive enzymes in order for them to be absorbed and utlized. They go directly into the bloodstream and don't even have to go through the liver like other fats and oils that are bad for you - per my article. ==>The ratios I recommend are from The Optimal Diet by Dr. Jan. Kwasniewski, who lives in Poland and he has been curing people of heart disease, cancer, diabetes, asthma, etc. for over 30 years on his high fat low-carb diet: http://homodiet.netfirms.com/ >I realize you must " starve " the candida, but at the same time you don't want to loose too much weight. On this groups diet as compared to the book Yeat Connection for Womans Health./ I'm just a little confused. ==>You confusion is understandable my friend. Because candida sufferers must be on a low-carb diet it's wonderful to replace them with a much better more efficient source of energy, i.e. good fats. Weight is the least of your problem when you have candida and it will normalize as you progress through the program. ==>At one point during my candida program I could only eat 9 foods in the whole world (everything else came back up so I had no choice) and I was losing 3 lbs per day. If I had known about fats being a much better source of energy at that time I wouldn't have suffered so much. ==>Many members of this group are doing wonderfully on this program and even curing health problems other than candida - see the many Success Stories on my website: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/success/success.php The best in health, Bee
