Guest guest
Thanks for your message about this, as I have been wondering about the answer to, and never got a chance to ask Bee. I very much fear how to get through a surgery without antibiotics or infection. Two years ago I delivered my son via vertical c-section and it was horrid! The doctor said the first dose would be in the IV and then gave me an Rx for Keflex for a few more days. There's no way I can get it out of the IV-he thinks I'm crazy as it is for having this surgery done at all and for wincing at antibiotics. He also gave me a couple of Diflucan pills to try to make me feel better. ==>You can get around having the IV contain antibiotics! You have do have rights and choices. Tell the doctor you want to sign a disclaimer absolving the hospital and doctor of any responsibility so you do not have to take it. > How can I get around the Keflex pills? Is it safe after the IV to not take them? I am hoping you might have specific suggestions involving garlic teas or something. Can I take the Diflucan anyway or is it not worth it? I hate thinking about my candida starting a big party during the hour I'm on that IV. At the same time I don't want to risk a raging bacterial infection (for which of course I would never hold any of you responsible for helping with advice!) I will have drains put in too for a few days in the armpit area so that has to be kept very clean and dry, too. ==>Nature's antibiotics are extremely effective, not like drugs which are toxic and will increase your candida, and you should not take Diflucan - it is too hard on the liver. Yes, garlic is a fantastic antibiotic and so are oil of oregano and clove oil. The only reason your body would create a bacteria is to clean up your body - see articles on my website: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/menu5_3_1.php ==>Drink 4-5 cups of garlic tea with lemon and ginger per day, and eat well. Bee's egg drink is great too. Coconut oil is a natural antibiotic as well. ==>If you absolutely cannot avoid the antibiotics in the IV take probiotics as I recommend for candida for several days. Believe me, you will get sicker from drugs, but not from natural treatments. If you take drugs your body will create bacteria in order to get rid of them. Let us know how it goes. I'll stock up today on extra garlic and ginger since I take clove oil in herbal tea as my antifungal. Also I recently started the probiotics so that is good. I'll let everyone know how it goes. +Corinne

Clove oil is very powerful - it is the highest in antioxidants - see the article on it. I wish you the very best. You will do fine without any drugs! Guest guest
I've just joined the group, and have read the introductory material. I'm scheduled to start taking Diflucan tomorrow, but have been having reservations about doing so. I went to an ear nost and throat specialist last week because of bad allergies/sinuses. An allergist I had previously gone to had been useless - just through drugs at me. The second doctor said I am most likely suffering from candidiasis (I have many of the classic symptoms), as well as having allergies. She seemed really ready to work with me so I can get better, and am reluctant to say, this early in our " relationship " , that I'd rather not take the antifungal medication and instead take a more natural approach. Do you have any ideas as to how I could say this? Also, do I really need her, given that I am committed to changing my diet, environment, etc. - doing whatever I need to do to get better? The course she is prescribing for me is also going to cost a lot of money that I just don't have right now. She wrote out several prescriptions - a mouthwash for thrush, the diflucan for systemic candidiasis, an ointment for hives and other occasional redness on my face. She wanted me to schedule blood work, get a cat- scan for my sinuses, etc. I'm really not sure what to do. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. > > Thanks so much, Bee. Guest guest
Dear Debra - Thanks so much for the encouraging response - I've read through (I spelled it right this time!) Bee's introductory material, so now will take a look at the specific articles you listed. > Hello , > Welcome to Bee's forum! > > Be encouraged as Bee has all the information you need to > help build your immune system through diet, natural supplements and > methods to help your body heal itself. Guest guest
==>Hi . Welcome to our group! > I've just joined the group, and have read the introductory material. I'm scheduled to start taking Diflucan tomorrow, but have been having reservations about doing so. ==>I suggest you not take Diflucan because it is extremely hard on the liver. Your doctor should have done liver function tests prior to prescribing them and test should be done every month while on them. There are so many safe and much more effective antifungals, but the diet is the most important aspect of curing candida. ==>You wouldn't start on antifungals until you are completely following the diet and taking all of the supplements, which is explained in my article sent to you when you joined " How to Successfully Overcome Candida " (which is required reading for this group, as well as the other materials emailed to you, i.e. Group Rules & Guidelines and the Introduction to our group). ==>Debra gave you very good advice about searching and reading. Reading and learning are the first step towards health. Debra is one of my moderators (we have 7 because this group is so very busy). We are here to help and support you . Read first and then you will be able to ask appropriate questions and understand what is going on. The best in health, Bee
