Guest guest
Dear , I feel as though perspective is everything. You change your thoughts and you change the world. We now feel as though this lifestyle is " normal " . This is the food that nourishes our body....toxin free, optimal nutrition. Our outlook is of gratitude and excitement for having this plan in our lives. I have heard of people who go off into the SAD way of eating after getting bored (I think that is why they do it) and become ill again. I see this often during holiday seasons when they correlate that with the " flu " season. MY take is that is when many people eat and drink more because of the parties and have less discipline for their food consumption. It is the " oh I will just have a little " which leads for more cravings and feeding of yeast. It is marketed as flu season because so many feel so bad and the pharmaceutical companies can get in on it to make some $. How long have you been following and what are your results? Just curious, Debra --------------------------------- Messenger with Voice. Make PC-to-Phone Calls to the US (and 30+ countries) for 2¢/min or less. Guest guest
I've been doing this for about 2 1/2 months. I had fairly minor symptoms to begin with but they do seem to be improving. I have had a sore tooth for about 18 months (probably a cavity but haven't gone to the dentist) and it is no longer sore, so I assume that means my nutritional status is improving. But my goal with this program (besides clearing up my symptoms) is to go back to a fairly normal diet. I don't mean the SAD, I mean a traditional diet with soaked/sprouted/sourdough grains, soaked nuts, cultured or raw dairy, and some fruit & sweetners. I don't believe someone should have to follow this diet forever--there is plenty of evidence that people have traditionally eaten grains and dairy and fruit/natural sweeteners and been very healthy. > > Dear , > I feel as though perspective is everything. Guest guest
I have had intestinal dysbiosis(post-antibiotic syndrome-pas) several times in my life and have gotten over it several times but I also became more self-conscious of what I ate and made lifestyle changes. This time(pas) is worse than the others but I know I will get over it. You have to hang in there. But I've never done well on pasteurized whole milk, however I've fine on half & half and higher butter fat content dairy, and on raw milk. I can also have wine and other alcohol, but I rarely do. I have had evenings where I drank a fair amount, i.e. my 50th birthday, and my daughters were amazed that I didn't have a hangover. LOL! I choose to eat the way I do, for health and because I'm not young (65 years old in November). Anyone's health suffers if they do not get the nutrients their body requires. We are the lucky ones because we found out we had candida and were able to cure it, while others don't know and they are getting cancer and other life- threatening diseases. Most candida sufferers have been ill since birth, so depending upon your age it can take quite awhile to get your immune system up to normal again, i.e. 1 month for every year you've been unhealthy (not just with candida). > > But my goal with this program (besides clearing up my symptoms) is to go back to a fairly normal diet. ==>A good goal on this program is to normalize your immune system. Guest guest
Hi All! I'm not the " " who wrote this. I sign my name Val as not to get us mixed up. She is the young mom with kids. I'm the older one with grown kids and empty nest. I just wanted to clarify this. After reading 's full post on this subject, I have to fully agree that is my feelings on the subject also. I want to heal and then go back to eating healthy, and be able to eliminate the sugar and most grains. I know I do best without the grains, as I get achey with them. I may also have to stay away from dairy. But I hope to get back to soaked grains, fruit, and nuts--at least occasionally. I do always want to concentrate on the healthiest foods, but the trouble is the cravings come right back for the sugar and carbs. Maybe when the yeast is history our bodies won't crave it so bad!!!!!!!!!! Val P.S. I'd love to hear from others who can eat normally after being candida free or having been on the diet for a long time. Guest guest
Hi Val and , I'm happy to say that I have! I eat homemade yogurt daily, I use 1/2 & 1/2 in my morning coffee, once a week I eat dinner with friends, one of whom is vegetarian and likes to cook, so I'm getting some un-properly soaked grains and higher carb veggies with no adverse reactions. I even have a couple of beers or some wine with no reaction. When I cook for myself I pretty much eat according to Bee's plan with some minor deviations. I do this because it tastes good and I want to keep myself as healthy as possible. When I came to the group over two years ago, my main candida issue was vaginal yeast infection and I can happily say that I haven't had one of those in over a year now! However, if I'm feeling stressed or have had a couple of days where I've deviated off course a little too much, I will get the slightest bit of anal itching...just enough to let me know that I need to rein myself in a bit. But all in all, I'm feeling great, I have only had one cold in the last year, too...I believe my immune system is the strongest it has ever been thanks to Bee's plan! jackie > > > > I know most of the people who post are still healing, but has anyone > > been able (or know of anyone who has been able) to go back on a > > " normal " diet with properly prepared grains, nuts, dairy, etc?
