Guest guest
I slowly started this diet around mid-December. It probably wasn't the best time to start it due to the holidays but at the same time it turned out pretty good because I was able to get a sample of what I had to do & it was a good time to get rid of most of the junk food that I had in the house. Both my daughter (10-years-old) are following the diet but not my husband. The hardest part is that he still wants milk, orange juice, salad dressing, crackers, cereal, coldcuts, cheese, nuts, fruit, & raisins in the house. Most things don't bother me but anything that is sweet I have a hard time with. He likes Honey Nut Cheerios - and so do my cravings. The next thing is that I have always been a small eater & very picky. I am managing pretty well with the diet. I have been eating a selection of different foods & not as picky as I once was. However, I cannot get the #'s as high as recommended with protein, fat, & carbs. Being almost 5'4 " I am supposed to have 63 gm of protein, 157.5 gm of fat, & 50 gm of carbs but I am no where near those numbers. This is what I have been eating: Breakfast - 2 scrambled eggs cooked with 1 tbs coconut oil & 1 tbs butter. Tea with Stevia. Lunch - Meat or chicken with home-made mayo, butter, or oil. Veggies on the side. Afternoon tea. Dinner - Meat or chicken or fish. Steamed veggies. Salad with olive oil. I had a stock of meat/chicken that I had bought awhile ago so maybe the fat content is too low. I usually bought chicken breasts, 93% ground beef, ground turkey and ground chicken. I also need to start the vitamins/supplements real soon. Any suggestions? Thanks! Lynn

But with Bees egg drink you can easily up the coconut oil and butter (I use 5TBL Co and 2TBL butter). As for the Carbs you don't really need them. Its a maximum number rather than a goal. I'm no expert, though I have been studying candida hard for the past two years. Your diet seems to have the same simple structure as my own- 3 fish/meat and vegetables meals a day, though I can't eat eggs and, being a young, 6 foot 2 male, with a very high metabolism, never actually get near to what I require. What I was wondering, however, is if by 'tea' you meant black tea, which from everything I have come to understand and from personal experience is an absolute no for candida due to caffeine and yeast. To get my energy I eat about 200 grams or more exta virgin olive oil a day, being intolrant to butter and ghee. 63 grams of protein is fairly easy to get-3 100 gram portions of meat or fish (tuna's high) should do it, bearing in mind there is lots of protein in vegetables- it adds up. All the best, in Bedford.
