Hi janelle,

I've had the same thing before and I thought it WAS a mosquito bite!

And it drove me nuts and this is the gross part (sorry for this)

where it happened, the entire side swelled up and ended up looking

well...as though I was developing a testicle and I kid you not.

I never went and saw anybody because I was actually that embarrassed,

(which I should not have been, but I was young). I just left it and

it died down. So whatever it was, it wasn't anything dangerous, but

certainly aggravating to say the least. And yeah to me? The little

bits here and there when you fall off the wagon can be enough to

cause a full blown flare up. Someone else may get it elsewhere,

like with me, falling off the wagon is devastating, even in small

amounts. I become mentally unstable, nervous, depressed and

basically life is just a nightmare for me. I can almost feel the

darkness descending not long after I've cheated.

So just to reassure you, it doesn't take much at times to flare a

problem area up.

**Hey Janelle

I dont have exactly the same problem as you, (maybe Bee or one of

the other members might be able to say what the lumps are) however,

like yourself I had a couple of small cheats (which I didnt think

would be too " bad " )over the holidays and now I have got vaginal

thrush back which I havent had for several months, it feels hot and

itchy on the outside, I also have a mild uti, and really bad

digestive issues at the moment, prior to christmas I was having 1-2

digestive enzymes, but now Im up to 8 with each meal, plus feeling

fatigued again. So my conclusion is that " little " cheats are not

worth it, I've been very strict this week and have been having

pureed food due to the indigestion discomfort. I do feel better for

it already, but obviously I have alot of healing to do. All we can

do is get back on track and come to this health group for support.

Hi Janelle,

I don't want to alarm you too much, but what you describe sounds the

same as what happened to me about a year ago... it turned out to be

genital herpes. I don't know your situation and like I said, I'm

certainly not trying to scare you, but you should see your

gynecologist. If it turns out to be nothing, that's great. The

thing that really struck me about what you said was the small bumps

on one side - for whatever reason, my herpes outbreaks are only on

one side. And the itching and discomfort keep me awake at night.

For some immediate relief, you could try a cold compress (such as a

cold washcloth or even a baby wipe) on it at night, to help you

sleep more comfortably.

My gynecologist told me that 20-25% of the adult population has

herpes, even if they don't know it. I knew nothing about it before

this happened to me. My boyfriend (the person I caught it from) had

no symptoms at all and no idea he had it. I was devastated when I

found out, and it's taken me about a year to get used to it. I

truly hope your situation is nothing. Good luck.

Just wanted to add that I have had what seem to be " bumps " that are

very itchy that are in fact areas I scratched in my sleep, cut the skin

(with my nails), and then the healing of this forms a little bump.

Another possibility is an ingrown hair. Also, if it grows much bigger,

ensure that it is not a lymph node. There are many lymph nodes in the

groin area that clean the blood from the entire legs. As a teen, I

had " cat scratch fever " as it is called where a cat scratch (involving

cat litter of course under their claws) resulted weeks later in a plum-

sized lump right at the panty line. If you ignore it and are healthy it

will eventually heal, though you might have a grapefruit-sized lump

first :-) Unfortunately I took the antibiotics as I was leaving for

college at the time...

Hi girls

Thanks heaps for all replying to my post, it's ok you didnt

scare me, ive been tested for herpes and haven't had sex since i got

the negative result, actually been tested 11 times all up by doctors

trying to figure out what i have ( as in they didnt like the thrush

theroy lol) but thank you for your concern and i'm so very sorry you

have that awful condition, are you able to get rid of it? Hugs to

you.

I did a very bad thing and put cortizone cream on it i know i

shoudlnt of but the pain and itch were driving me nuts, hepled so

much and today it's much better with just a small raised area, i

also have a gland up in the groin are coincidently on the same side

and a slight UTI that has been really nasty for over 2 weeks. I

have had this problem a couple of times before when i've had a

really bad flare so Im starting to think that may be it

Thanks again girls, i love all the help I recieve on this site, it's

great

==>Hi Janelle. Those lumps are more than likely toxins your body is

trying to get rid of, particularly because of your indescription over

xmas. Do sitz baths with 35% H202 dilutes to 3% first per the H202

articles and douche per the Vaginal Yeast Treatment article. Also

apply lots of coconut oil to the area.
