Guest guest
I just need confirmation that I've figured this out right: at 4'11 " tall, my ratios are: protein 35g fat 87g carb 28g this is equal to 1.5 oz of protein, 6 tbl of oil/fat and 1 oz of carbs would this be my minimum intake and I increase each category equally to get more to eat? There are 30g per ounce, right? I worked all night, so my brain is slightly foggy. My weight is 92-94 pounds right now if that makes any difference...and I did read the info. I could find. Please help me with this food thing. My spouse is going to get REALLY mad if I continue to not eat much.
Guest guest
, I'm sure Bee or one of the moderators will answer you indepth about this but in the meantime... You do not calculate grams of protein/fat/carbs by weight. They are calculated by content in each food. Like a single large egg contains 6 grams of protein, 5 grams of fat and 1 gram of carbs, while a cup of raw broccoli contains 3 grams of protein, 0 fat and 5 grams of carbs. You need to use fitday.com or a similar program to calculate your food ratios. I read the info about the ratios again, and still didn't get this aspect of figuring it out. Whew! I thought I'd never eat much again! I was using another program to keep track of foods and exercise, etc, but this is easier. How to you track fake cream and other combo foods and beverages? Your height in inches is 4 X 12 " plus 11 " = 59 " ; 59 " X 2.54 (to convert inches to centimetres) = 150. Take 150 less 100 = 50 grams of protein; 50 X 2.5 = 125g fats (low); 50 X 3.5 = 175G fats (high); and 50 X .8 = 40g carbs. > this is equal to 1.5 oz of protein, 6 tbl of oil/fat and 1 oz of carbs > would this be my minimum intake and I increase each category equally > to get more to eat? It doesn't work like that. You have to work back and forth between the weight, size or measurement of each food on www.fitday.com. See the Spreadsheet in our Candida Diet Folder which you can use to calculate your own diet - there are 2 worksheets in it; the right one is Examples of Food Ratios that have been calculated to show how it works. ==>Also some foods contain all three food groups, i.e. eggs, cinnamon, nutmeg, onions, tomatoes, romaine lettuce, chicken liver, etc., meats always contain protein and fat. ==>See the file Fitday.com How to use it in the Candida Diet folder too. Get back to us if you still have difficulty. Luv, Bee

Bee, thank you so much for getting back and clearing everything up for me instead of getting mad at me for my foggy brain, lack of using a calculator, and inexperience here. I'm so glad I get to eat more as well. I hadn't found the spread sheet you mentioned yet but i'm goin' there now. I'm so gung ho about this program b/c I'm already feeling better even though I'm not doing it perfectly yet.

If you go to the Candida Diet Folder you will find all of the information about Fitday and other Nutritional Calculators. To figure out fake cream you take each ingredient separately, which I did with the Raw Egg Drink - it's an example of ratios in the Spreadsheet " Calculate Protein Fat & Carb Ratios " . I think I also show how to calculate mayonnaise and salad dressing on that spreadsheet. If you check out Bee's Raw Egg Drink in the Recipe Folder it indicates the ratios on the top, and also the same for some other combos like mayonnaise - it also indicates how much is in a tablespoon. I haven't had time to calculate them all however. Cheers, bee

I think all of the information and tools are there to help you. But if you still have problems or want to check out your calculations we'll help you. Guest guest
Glad you figured it out . I would be lost without fitday. As for the fake cream...I've never made it and don't know the calculations. Sorry. Actually I have the fitday personal pc program on my computer (yeah, it costs a bit but I found it to be so worth it) and am able to enter all ingredients for a recipe, save it under a name, and then add it by that name every time I have it. I also track all my exercise, nutrients, moods, measurements, etc. Ellen [ ] Re: Getting enough to eat Ellen, fitday is soooo cool.
