Guest guest
Thanks Ellie for sharing your story with us. I'm so sorry to hear about your many troubles all due to dentists! I did stop taking the selenium picolinate several days ago. (I still haven't figured out if it's organic or inorganic, by the way). I took one glass of magnesium oxide but for the life of me, this mixture tastes so nasty, I just can't down it! (I'm gonna have to get a different magnesium, once I figure which form is best. Malate? Oxide? Carbonate? Magnesium malate did eliminate all my fibromyalgia pain when I took that last summer.) As a result of these changes, my eyelid has stopped twitching but it still pulsates. By that I mean at the same spot (center top eyelid) I get a pulsation and it feels as if it were going to start twitching but it does not. I went to the mirror and there are no visible signs of the pulsating. I think even this is fading away. My guess is it's stopping the selenium that did it because I haven't been consistent with taking the magnesium although I do know, as Bee reminded me, that eye twitching can be a symptom of magnesium deficiency. Time will tell for sure which one it was for me. I must say that I've had eye twitching before and never took individual selenium supplements before, this was a first as I kept reading about it and how good an antioxidant it was supposed to be. (Unless a multiple vitamin might have been the culprit then? Some do contain selenium). I will only report back if I figure this out, so that it helps someone else. Best of health to you, Ellie.
