Guest guest
I did at some point try fit day but I can't navigate it! Chris. ---> I found using fit day extremely helpful when I first started because I had no idea what my portions should be like. I bought a food scale for $8.00 @ walmart. I still use it but not as often because I have a routine that works and I don't make alot of changes. I now know about what 6oz chicken, 4oz steak, etc looks like. --->I think you are making fit day to hard. For the butter entry Click on the browse " all foods " drop down to Fats/oils/dressing and hit go. That takes you to a screen with 3 choices hit fats. That takes you to a more specific screen. Click on " add " - Butter. That puts butter in your todays food. From there you can easily change the amount and save the changes. That butter entry will stay in the " add recent " so next day you figure it is readily available. I think for what we are looking for it is not necessary to make a pick for example between salted butter and not salted butter since we are really only looking for the amount of fat, protien and carbs. I make my own kim chi. Fit day doesn't have kim chi. Its going to be carb/fat wise the same as the canned sauerkraut so I use the canned sauerkraut, etc. You will probably have many of the same things every day like Coconut oil, fish oil, sauerkraut, whole raw egg etc. So once you put your regulars in its pretty quick. Then if you come on to something new it doesn't take much to add it. I find the calculations it does extremely useful and don't think I would have been able to figure out my diet without it. Hang in there. It will come together. Delete that which is harmful. Add that which is useful. Learn or try something new each week. If you are still having trouble with it give it a rest. Come back to it in a couple of days. After you rest from it a bit come back and do a search in Bees archives. Debby had some great tips and tricks about fit day and nutritional calculations.
