I did at some point try fit day but I can't navigate it! There are way

too many choices for a simple thing such as " eggs " and " butter " 10

pages no less for each! And I can't even find listing for plain butter

like 1 Tbsp of butter! I lost patience after a few pages! Well, this

is way harder than I thought! I'm having a hard time today with

overload of info. I can eat the right foods, eliminate the wrong ones

but I don't know about ratios. Like I eat 2 eggs with one strip of

bacon and 1 tbsp or 1 1/2 of butter. And 1 Tbsp of butter per meal,

isn't that enough fat? (I was eating a stick of butter a day but can't

afford to do that!)

What fats do you guys eat? I read the files! Bee you said I can't eat

the bacon fat and beef fat I got from the store. I eat the VCO and 1

or 2 tbsp of butter with meals and bacon in the ams. But I don't find

any other forms of fat listed. I do take fish oil and evening primrose

supplements. What else can I eat?

Thanks!

Chris.

Hey

About constipation: I had a bad bout of constipation recently; I

increased vitamin C and magnesium, and even tried natural laxatives

because I could'nt stand the discomfort anymore, but nothing really

helped. Then I started taking digestive enzymes again, and it really

did the trick. I am taking them faithfully with every meal, and have at

least 1 BM daily. Maybe you could try digestive enzymes, at least while

you check Fitday.com, etc.

About other good fats: I get and eat ghee; lard home made with pork

fat; duck fat; olive oil; coconut oil. I cook with them; when my meat

is done, I transfer it on a deep plate, make little cuts in the meat,

then pour the liquid fat in them in order to saturate the meat; gives a

good taste to the meat and is another way to eat more fat. I also

scrape the fat off my plate/bowl.

Hope this helps,

Fran :- )

I had a similar experience a couple of weeks ago. I was incredibly

constipated- to the point I was barely eating, except for tons of Vit C

magnesium, and fats/oils. Bee suggested the 9 day, but since we were

only days from X-mas (and I knew I could not say no to the shrimp,

bacon wrapped scallops, and salmon I had planned) so I thought I would

wait until after the holiday, and do the 9 day if needed at that

point. The only thing I changed was I started taking " T " digestive

enzymes again three times a day. The brand I take is not approved by

this group(and everyone is different so it is probably irrelevant), but

the result was night and day. Almost instantaneously I felt so much

better. Normal and consistent BM's, not bloated or feeling distended.

My appetite is also back, with weight moving back down...

, what are " T " digestive enzymes. Is there another name for

the ones you are taking. Most of the digestive enzymes I've tried

have not helped me at all. I added selenium to my diet and finally

am having BM's every day but they are not quite normal yet.

==>You wouldn't take evening primrose supplements, but you take cod

liver oil in the winter and fish oil plus vitamin A in the summer when

you get enough vit D from the sun. Re-check your supplements list

against what I recommend.

Hi Gail,

I caution you about taking extra selenium. Your body only requires

" trace amounts " which are found in many many foods, including eggs,

and it is in the ocean sea salt I recommend. While it may have

appeared to help your bowels, in the long run it will throw off

mineral balances.
