Hi this is jack i have been taking about 35 grams of flax oil a day,

50 grams of coconut oil, and about 35 grams of olive oil. I was just

wondering if this was too much from the oils. I am trying to increase

my fat intake so i think im doing the right thing but it just seems

like a lot and i wanted to confirm. also i have some ascorbic acid

and was wondering if this was appropriate for me to take as well.

Thanks

So would taking more of the coconut and olive oil benefit me more

because need to get the fats from somewhere right?

Actually, Flax Oil and/or Flax Seeds are NOT recommended on Bee's

program. It's easy for flax oil to go rancid and hard for the body to

convert into usuable vitamins. The necessary Omega 3's are aquired

through other aspects of the diet.

Good fats are Coconut Oil, Butter, Ghee, Butter Oil, Red Palm Oil,

lard, Extra Virgin Olive Oil, etc. Check out the files for more fat info.

more coconut oil and olive oil would definitely benefit you more. Be

careful of using to much olive oil though...some members report that

they gain weight using too much olive oil.

==>No, that is not too much total fats/oils (same thing), but I do

not recommend taking any flax oil - here's an excerpt from my main

article " How to Successfully Overcome Candida " :

" One of the best sources of omega-3 is found in fish. That is because

omega-3 in fish is high in two fatty acids crucial to human health,

which are called eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid

(DHA). These two fatty acids are essential to health, and also in

preventing heart disease, cancer, and many other diseases. EPA and

DHA do not require conversion by the body like alpha-linolenic acid

(ALA) contained in flaxseed oil.

Flaxseed oil is not recommended as a source of omega-3 because it

contains alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) that must be converted in the

body to useable forms, which are EPA and DHA (form found in fish

oils, and cod liver oil). Most candida sufferer's bodies are

incapable of making the conversion to EPA and DHA, therefore they

need to take fish oils or cod liver oil and not flaxseed oil. Fish

oils (Omega-3) are taken during the summer when enough vitamin D can

be obtained from the sun, along with vitamin A, and cod liver oil is

taken during the winter, which contains vitamins A and D, and Omega-3.

Evening primrose oil and borage oil are recommended by many health

practitioners however they contain omega-6 and no omega-3, and the

diet contains plenty of omega-6 without taking any extra supplements. "

also i have some ascorbic acid and was wondering if this was

==>Jack it apprears as if you haven't read my article yet. Please

read it and then get back to us with questions you may after. If you

do not remember use your Edit Find function on the top of your

Internet Browser when my article is open to find ascorbic acid, which

is discussed in my article.

Jack, please don't take to heart some messages posted by other

members. The real answers are in our Group's files, particularly in my

main article, and from some members who have been around the block with

this program.

You can increase butter, lard, extra virgin olive oil, chicken fat,

goose fat, coconut nut or any natural fats. Also add your fish oil or

cod liver oil to your total fat intake, as well as going to

www.fitday.com and calculating all of the fats contained in the foods

you eat, i.e. eggs, meats, etc. - see A) Candida Diet Folder for how to

calculate your ratios and for a handy spreadsheet to calculate them on

after you go to fitday - there's sample foods on that spreadsheet too.

>>>>>>>>>Thanks for response Bee. To clarify, I take Carlson Fish Oil

during the warmer months and the Carlson Cod Liver Oil during the

winter months. It's my understanding that since we take in Vitamin D

from the sun during the warmer months, then we shouldn't overdose on

Vitamin D by also taking Cod Liver Oil.

Bee, once the body is clear of Candida overgrowth, can we resume

eating the other " healthy " fats?
