newbie and question

Hi

My dh has recently been diagnosed with candida by his chiropractor who

practices Applied Kinesiology. I am already familar with WAP and have

been using Nourishing Tradtitions recipes for the last few years,

although my dh would eat the food I cooked he would also eat lots of

other crap. I am also familar with the SCDiet as I suffer from

colitis. We are both very happy to have found this group and my dh

has decided to make the commitment to the diet!

The first question I have is about yogurt. I make my yogurt from raw

milk and only heat it to 108-110 degrees so that the final product is

still raw. Also, I let it ferment for 24-30+ hours and then let it

sit for 12 hours before eating. Would this be safe for my dh to eat?

We are also wondering if someone can recommend a " safe " brand of a

calcium/magnesium supplement and the vitamin b complex? We are

located in Mpls, MN. We are already taking CLO from Dr Ron's and we

have Dr Ron's liver supps. that I take. Would the liver supps. be

good for him to take?

Also, any lunch suggestions that have lots of fat to keep him full

when he is at work?

Thanks in advance!

> Hi

==>Hi h. Welcome to our group. I'm so glad you are well-versed

with Weston A. Price.

==>That's fabulous! I'm so happy you are.

==>Most candida sufferers don't do well on any dairy (except butter),

not even yogurt or kefir fermented long enough to lower the lactose.

That is mainly because when the lactose is lowered it has been changed

into galactose, which is another type of sugar. See a more complete

explanation in my article under the Probiotics section.

==>See if you can get Natural Factors brand there. My sister can buy

it Oregon and I get it here in Canada.

==>Yes liver supps. would be good for him to take, so he won't need to

take B vitamins, except to buy the niacin separately and take 50 mg

twice a day. He could really use Ron's butter oil too, and he only

needs to take 1/2 to 1 tsp per day (not sure which for adults).

==>Maybe post a separate message for lunch ideas so the members can

all get into helping you. Also try searching our archives because

we've discussed it many times before.

He should have Bee's Raw Egg Drink for breakfast - the fats can be

adjusted according to how much coconut oil he can take.

The best in health, Bee
