Hi there .. I'm sorry to hear what you are going through. All of the answers to your problems are right here.. what you are missing is the behavior that creates the results. There's an expression, " fake it until you make it " . Yes, you might feel crappy at first, go through sugar withdrawals, and it's damn hard to do this program. But keep doing it and do NOT cheat, because you are just setting yourself up for failure. You say you are tired of feeling this way, but I wonder how tired of this you are when you go eat a hamburger with bun? I am not judging you, I have been in your shoes. Many people might ask how could I let myself get to 380 pounds and think less of me, but I let myself get sick and fat the same way you have let yourself get sick.. because I did not change my behavior because I had not suffered enough. When I hit bottom, and I sat down and realized how bad things were and that they were only going to get worse, that's why I was able to change and stick to it. So you want to know how to get better? Sit down and write a list.. on one side put all the things you hate about being unhealthy. List every one of them and how they effect you. Now on the right side write out everything you like about eating hamburgers. When you are done, I don't think you'll be surprised to see which list is longer. You might think I'm being sarcastic and making a rhetorical suggestion to you but I'm not, I really suggest you try this. When you are done, keep your list and put in on the fridge or keep it in your purse, and next time you want to eat something off plan look at the list and replace hamburger with what ever no-no food you want. Read the list of what you hate about being unhealthy, and then ask yourself is that food really worth all of the things on your unhealthy list? HTH.. Guest guest
Yes, that's what worked for me was changing my relationship with food, by shifting my priorities and realizing that the wrong foods are not going to comfort me, they aren't going to make me happy or keep my company or hold me at night. Food is just for fuel, and we can make good choices about the fuel we put in our body. Once you unwrap yourself from the emotional tangles from food you'll get a clearer perspective. Look for your triggers like boredom, socializing, etc. Realize that you don't need food to relieve any of these things, and you can feel better about your choices if you remain steadfast to your beliefs. Feel free to email me privately or on here if you are comfortable if you want any more insights on how to deal with the emotional entanglement. I'm not an expert on this subject (my emotional mentor is) but I will share with you what I have learned. Guest guest
> I need your guidance as i feel i am failing this program and dont > want to waste anyone's time in helping me if i cant help myself. sue --->sue, You are helping yourselfand you have come to a good place. Tomorrow is a new day with new things to learn and try. For myself I just decided I HAD to change the way I was going because I knew if I didn't I would end up with diabetes (which almost all my family has) and have no vitality in my old age. I really do want to live a long healthy life and I believe that that this forum is the right place to come to learn how to accomplish that goal. I began this diet bit by bit in March and have lost 30 lbs which is quite an accomplishment for me (I have about 65 more to go) and now believe I can do it (that speaks volumes). I now have hope for my future and am planing and working toward longer range goals. I have overcome a toenail fungus that I had for 2 years trying almost everything to get rid of it (that is how I knew I had candida). I now have a new toe nail where none was before. It is so nice to see a healthy toe there. I believe the candida is gone too. I continue with the diet to loose weight and believe I will have real health when my weight is down to normal. I am 50 (looking to be vibrant in my 90s) Before changing my diet I really didn't have much hope, deep down as afraid of cancer plac in the arteries etc. Now I don't have those fears. As you hang out here you will be encouraged by others triumps and learn from their set backs. So don't beat yourself up. Many here have come a long way bit by bit. Sometimes I have seen my weight go down 1 or 2 lbs a day. That has really helped me to stick with it when I was faced with temptation. For myself I have chosen not to eat the meat or products of caged animals or animals that are cruely treated. This really helps passing up the fast food industry which I think is a biggie. Guest guest
Hi Sue, I understand how tough it is for you. Debby helped you a lot with her advice so I just want to say that you also need to decide whether you are going to follow your doctor's advice or listen to yourself. Did you finish the 9-day program with broths and pureed foods, with 2 enemas per day? You might need to continue eating pureed foods for some time because of your stomach problems. A lady in my Candida Support Group (1986) had to eat pureed foods for months. ==>Also have you tried Bismuth (Pepto Bismol), as I suggested awhile back, for stomach pain? It is made from bismuth which is a natural substance - the Pepto Bismol brand is the purest product. ==>You cannot expect to feel well nor to improve when you are cheating my friend. I am stopping the pill tonight which means my cycle will begin within a few days and im scared of how bad that will be. My stomach burns and cramps so much i am hardly eating agaon today. I ate an illegal hamburger with raw tomato and onions and bread this week because stupid me thought i was feeling better.

Guest guest
> > Yes bee i did the 9 day program and it worked well. I didnt do the pepto because i have an ulcer and it says right on the bottle not to use if you have an ulcer. I asked you and you said not to try it now. ==>You can still take Pepto Bismol for a very upset stomach because bismuth cures ulcers, so I don't understand the label at all. > I am doing better in some respects but my digestion is weird. I had homemade chicken soup with only chikcen and celery and the celery comes out in my stool.... ==>You need help with digestion, i.e. digestive enzymes or sauerkraut like I suggested - the Digestion folder. Celery is also high in fibres so maybe eating others that aren't would be better, and also puree all of your foods. > > I had fast food on tuesday of this week and my gut was bad almost instantly, so i assume tha is what did it and i need to get it under control again... ==>You can depend upon have an instant reaction to eating what you shouldn't. My stomach has been worse since then but the bleeding has subsided a lot. So i am confused. It is bad to be on them for candida or for your general health? I need to get my body straightened out but where do i begin? THe diet i am on almost 100% my cheats are the only deviation from the diet and they are scarse. ==>I recommended 500 mg daily of bioflavonoids to control bleeding; take it starting 3 days before your menses, in addition to the recommended vitamin C which contains it as well, and continue until your bleeding is normal or until the end of your period, then stop and start it again the next month. Birth control pils are never an answer to menstrual problems and they are very toxic, feeding candida as well. > > so where do i begin bee? I am doing the diet and most of the supplements I dont do all the supplements as they tend to upset my gut. What am i doing wrong? Any advice i welcome...thanks Bee
Guest guest
Bee, I believe the Pepto Bismol label cautions against use for people with ulcers because bismuth turns the stool black so someone with an ulcer might not be sure if a dark stool was the Pepto or blood from the ulcer. I know that's what the doctors cautioned my ex after he had a stomach bleed several years ago. However, I would think that if someone were following the Candida program faithfully the ulcer would be improving and the Pepto would be okay. Sue, you aren't going to get better until you actually follow the diet with no deviations. Yes it will be hard at first and you will deal with unpleasant symptoms, but that is part of healing. > I went on brith control pills at the recommedation > of my gyno and it has been 2 weeks on them. My > stomach has been worse since then but the bleeding > has subsided a lot. So i am confused. It is bad to > be on them for candida or for your general health? Both. You want to get off of them right away. You are experiencing bleeding because your diet has made you unhealthy and you are having hormonal issues. Cleaning up your diet will clear up those issues. By taking the birth control pills you are only masking the symptoms while the issue gets worse. > I need to get my body straightened out but where do > i begin? THe diet i am on almost 100% my cheats are > the only deviation from the diet and they are > scarse. Your cheats need to be non-existent for this to work. If I cheat it takes weeks just to recover and where I was. If you cheat once a week you won't even make progress.. does that make sense? > so where do i begin bee? I am doing the diet and > most of the supplements I dont do all the > supplements as they tend to upset my gut. You might want to check all the ingredients in your supplements. Also try taking only one per day and see which one is upsetting your stomach. > What am i doing wrong? Well the cheating is the number one thing that is affecting your success. If you are cheating for emotional reasons, please let me know what they are so I can see if I can help you out with that. I need to know how you were feeling and what were you thinking when you chose to deviate from the diet.
