I appreciate all the wonderful help here! I have been seeing an

oriental doctor who is prescribing herbs and accupuncture for

candida..mainly a " damp " condition, where the spleen is weak and

candida occurs.

She mentioned that Herbastatin is very good to clear out candida,

along woth diet. Is anyone familar with Herbstatin? Thanks, Bert

Hi Bert,

Please read Bee's files, particularly " How To Overcome Candida. "

Candida overgropwth occurs mainly because of lack of an active immune

system. I don't think dampness has anything to do with it. The diet most

Americans (and probably others) eat is high in carbs (especially sugar)

which feeds the candida.

There isn't a fast cure for it if you have it. You'll have to start out

with the diet and eventually add antifungals. The natural ones (oil of

oregano, clove oil, coconut oil, etc.) are far cheaper and far less

injurious to the body than any drugs you could find. I don't kow exactly

what Herbstatin is but it looks like a statin drug.

The only way to really deal with it effectively is to stop eating the

things that feed candida and build up your immune system, otherwise it's

just going to come back when you stop taking the drugs.

I hope this helps.

Zack

==>Candida is not caused by a " damp " condition, it is caused by a weak

immune system due to toxins and a lack of nutrients.

==>Herbastatin has substances that feed candida, particularly

licorice. They say it clears out mucus from the intestines, which is

not advisable. Mucus is there for a good reason. I wouldn't advise

taking this product for candida; doing this candida program is all you

need to cure candida. See my article " How to Successfully Overcome

Candida " , Essential Supplements section which explains why you do not

take " other products " than those recommended.
