It seems to be getting worse. I've been taking vitamin C, echineacia,

and making steam tents. A friend just loaned me a humidifier. "

Hi Jeanne OTS,

I just had a whooper of a cold (tons of mucus in nose/sinus,

respiratory track, coughing and spitting tons of mucus, and blowing

my nose just about constantly, very fatigued, etc.,), and thanks to

Bee's advice, it's just about finished now.

If you want, you can check Bee's suggestions in her messages nos

30741 and 30772 to me.

Here is a list of recommendations, from those two messages as well as

other postings on the subject:

(1) Check the Sinus & Nose Treatment folder for vitamin C nose drops.

(The folder contains several other treatments for sinus & nose.)

(2) Take lots of vitamin C (rather than taking antifungals which can

create die-off and more mucus):

4,000 mg right away, then 1,000 mg every hour until bowel

intolerance, then back off the amount so you don't have diarrhea.

(3) Oregano oil:

- inhale vapours directly from the bottle as often as necessary.

- take internally: 1-2 drops into 1 teaspoon of olive oil at least 4

times a day.

- put a drop or two on a tissue and leave it on pillow at night.

(4) Lemon and ginger: excellent for cough, sinus & nose. (I made

lemon tea (hot water and the juice of 1/2 lemon), and ginger tea (see

Recipes; both hot teas really did me good.)

(5) Message no 30772: " It is so important to be very strict with your

diet and to take the supplements recommended. "

(6) Have humidity in your place.

(7) Peau d'Arco tea (from another posting).

I hope this helps. Best of success with beating your cold.

(By the way, what does OTS stand for?)

Fran

Thanks, I tracked them down. It's pretty much what I've been doing. I must have

had about

12 grams of vitamin C today. I've also had a ton of garlic. I haven't made Pau

d'Arco in while,

guess I'll try that. I just got up to steam my head, as I couldn't sleep. I

guess I'll have to be

patient as well. As Bee told you, there are no quick fixes...

Of the South. That's to distinguish me from Jeanne OTN (of the North). I live in

Mexico City.

Thanks again,

Hello,

I have an issue and with sinuses and my lungs right

now as well. I've noticed that now when I get colds

nowadays the symptoms are MUCH milder and so my only

symptoms have been fatigue and the runny nose that

backs up into my lungs.

I'm actually almost through this whole thing with ZERO

antibiotics. Even though I was hacking up really

nasty green and yellow mucus for a while there.. so

hang in there ok?

What I've been doing is lots of water, extra vitamin

C, extra raw galic, lots of rest and herbal mint tea.

Also I've managed to up my VCO pretty quickly to 1/4 a

cup a day and with very little die-off now.

I wasn't trying to rush getting used to the stuff,

it's just very tasty stuff. :) I'm sure that's helped

me get through this cold as well.

Luv,

Debby

** Yes I agree. It took all of 6 weeks for my sinus/air tracks, massive

cold to subside; and I felt pretty sick, fatigued. Like Debby, I had

tons of mucus, coughing, spitting mucus of many colors (pardon the

graphics), which, as Bee and the files on the subject indicate that

your system is detoxing wonderfully, and different colors indicate

detoxing different toxins. Hopefully the Sinus & Nose folder will have

some treatments that will help you feel more comfortable.

** Thanks for the info, Jeanne! :- )
