The tests I took several months ago showed these results. > > Question: In view of these results, should I still lower my intake to 350 mg calcium and 450 magnesium? ==>Yes, that is usually enough cal/mag along with the diet and other supplements I recommend. Way too much is recommended by doctors and other health practitioners even to help osteoporosis or osteopenia. Cod liver oil protein, ocean sea salt, plenty of nature-made fats, etc. helps your body utilize minerals. I have osteoporosis too (mainly because I do not have a thyroid) and I take 175 mg calcium and 450 mg magnesium. If I take more calcium my lower back starts to hurt. Some days I take 150 mg more of magnesium. ==>Remember that Stefansson and his friend went on the all meat and fat diet (25% meat; 75% fat) under medical supervision for 1 year and they had no signs of lacking calcium, and they did not take any supplements. I'm game; I'll try this lower amount of cal/mag! :- ) Thanks for all this great info! Fran
