Guest guest
Hi Bee, All the emails lately about ratios for short people (I'm 5'3 myself) and about diet recommendations 'after we get better' has reminded me of a question I've been wanting to ask you for awhile - what ratios do you recommend (fat, protein, carb) for someone who has pretty much recovered? Still the same or is there any latitude for change? Reason I ask is, even if 'forbidden' (or even 'not totally recommended') foods became 'allowed occasionally or in moderation', if I ate one or two, that would probably pretty much absorb my carb allotment for the day! Of course my intention is to stay basically true to the guidelines - it's not a problem for me because I actually LIKE eating this way. but curious to know your thoughts on this! The ratios portion of the diet is the same as Dr. Jan K. recommends on his Optimal Nutrition diet, so it is not just for healing, it is also for life-long health; links for the Optimal Diet are in our Links (left menu). Guest guest
Hi Bee, I posted this awhile back but never saw an answer (I know how busy you are so no offense taken! ;-) But if you do get a chance, I'm really curious about this. Very much looking forward to your new site, too, BTW! Guest guest
Hi Janine. I remember replying before. The answer is that when you are healthy again you eat the same ratio of protein to fats to carbs as I recommend on this program. Bee
