Guest guest
To me junk carbs is one of the hardest addictions of all. For one, you can't just stop eating, and making your environment safe is nearly impossible as someone is always offering you junk carbs. I struggle with this daily and I know I always will, although I am sure it will get easier, but it will never be gone. This is why I have spent so much effort on dealing with my *defense* on my war against my own sugar addiction. This includes planning my food, abstinence from foods that " lead " me back physically to a sugar addiction (like artificial sweeteners), therapy, sharing my story with others, helping others (and receiving help in return), being on this newsgroup, continued education on health, keeping my environment safe (there are certain foods I ask not to be brought into the house), reading, writing, and just a lot of thought and energy and strategy. I have gotten to a point where this all takes up much less energy than when I started but I have to maintain this every day for the rest of my life, or risk slipping back into oblivion. Nothing will better motivate you to overcome your weaknesses. My son Hunter Hudson (10/11/04) http://debbypadilla.0catch.com/hunter/
