Guest guest
Needing to know how this plan works with someone who is on coumadin (I'm a lifer). Wanting to know how successful you've been with this eating plan while being on coumadin. Did you have to increase/decrease the amount of coumadin? Thanks in advance for your reply. You do not have health problems because you lack coumadin nor any other drug. You have health problems because of a lack of nutrients. Of course the medicos will tell you any drugs have to be taken " for life, " which is totally untrue. If you give your body the nutrients it needs and eliminate toxins your body's marvelous healing powers will heal/cure as nature intended. But I would never suggest you suddenly stop taking them unless you consult with your doctor about this program so he can gradually lower the doses. ==>Since coumadin is an anticoagulant, it works by blocking the formation of certain clotting factors. Without these clotting factors, blood clots are unable to form. Many prescription and nonprescription medicines (eg, used for infections, inflammation, aches and pains, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, seizures, and other conditions), and herbs found in multivitamin products, herbal teas and dietary supplements (eg, CoQ10, garlic, ginseng, ginkgo, St. 's wort, and others) may interact with Coumadin Tablets which may increase the risk of serious bleeding or the risk of serious blood clots. Bee's additions: Also oil of oregano, clove oil and cod liver oil recommended on my program naturally keep the blood from clotting so they can also increase the risk when you are taking coumadin. ==>However, the side effects includes: Abnormal skin sensations; changes in taste; chills; diarrhea; difficulty swallowing; dizziness; feeling cold; fever; general body discomfort; hair loss; itching; lack of energy; nausea; pale skin; skin inflammation; stomach pain, cramps, or bloating; tiredness; vomiting. (This is an incomplete list; see more at: http://www.drugs.com/cdi/coumadin_tablets.html ==>It is interesting that many natural substances keep the blood from clotting naturally, without any side effects, but of course the drug companies wouldn't make any money if doctors perscribed them instead. People would also get well and not require medical intervention. Such natural substances includes garlic, oil of oregano, clove oil, cod liver oil, which are the very things that are vital to curing candida. In fact it only takes 1 raw garlic clove per day to prevent clotting. ==>So it's like a " catch 22 " for you Pam. It depends upon the " reason why " you are taking coumadin to begin with. Guest guest
Bee, I just wondered if anyone had any real life experience with being on coumadin and working this eating plan. I was hoping to be encouraged by their success. I guess I was more concerned withy the Vitamin K issue than thinning the blood more with oregano, clove and cod liver oils. I am on coumadin for life because I do not have an inferior vena cava and three different doctors (including an environmental medicine doctor) felt it was prudent to keep me on coumadin rather than risk any more blood clots since my vascular system is not put together like everyone else's. (Three years ago I was put in the hospital for nontraumatic blood clots--7 large and multiple smaller ones--from my knee up to and including my pelvic and lumbar veins). I will ease myself into this and keep my INR appointments. The doctor can then adjust as needed. Thanks for your input!
