Lacto-fermented foods are discussed in my article, particularly sauerkraut and kimchi, but not meats. Most people would have big back-off on raw fermented meats, but if you are fine, go ahead and enjoy! I'm sure you can substitue lamb in Sally's recipe. Guest guest
> > But no raw meat for me. > Hi, To each his own, but I don't think people should be so afraid of raw meat. If it's fresh and from a safe source, what is there to fear? I've eaten raw meat many times, but only organic meat that was very fresh, and smelled very good (which means it was EXPENSIVE!). The moist texture is hard to get used to at first, but after you're used to it, cooked meat feels too dry and stringy. It doesn't seem much different to me than the raw eggs. Several people have commented that they were afraid to try the egg drink, but once they finally did, they liked it. Most of us are consuming raw eggs on a regular basis without any problems, right? Just wanted to share my personal experiences with it. in Tennessee

Yeah, I really don't care if there are bugs in my food, as long as I don't know about it. Now if I were like and crunched into a whole stink bug and had to find out about it or taste it, then that would be bad. Luv, Debby San , CA ------------- Slips should teach you, not defeat you. Yup, we sure can, and I believe just about anything found naturally in its natural form can be healthy for healthy people, with slight modifications for candida folks because we are sick. > I get bison from Wild Oats (same as Whole Foods, and > other natural > stores). But it is SO EXPENSIVE!! Any organic Yes, that's why I only buy organic meat, which is the cheaper fattier meat (chuck roast) and not organic veggies, etc. anymore. Over here the organic broccoli is $4/pound, while the grocery store stuff is $1.50/pound! I'm all for getting better health and seeing that as an investment but I'm really broke right now so I have to do what I can and I know I could be doing much worse. I have to buy all my food on credit too right now, but we are working on straightening that out, and then I am going to look and see what the prices are like at farmers markets when I can use cash. > things (like now I don't have to buy toothpaste or > deodorant > anymore, I can make my own thanks to you all sharing > your secrets), > but it's definitely worth the extra cost to feel > better. Yes, I can just buy coconut oil in bulk and use it for a ton of things.. eating, deoderant, toothpaste, body lotion, earache remedy, etc. I go through a gallon a month, which costs $35/month (with shipping/tax). I spend about $200/month just on meat for myself so that's quite a bargain! Luv, Debby San , CA ------------- Slips should teach you, not defeat you. Guest guest
> > is it okay to eat: > > - raw chicken > - raw pork > - raw liver +++Yes , they are okay to eat raw if they are organic or certified organic. I wouldn't recommend you eat meats that aren't, like I do, since your immune system is still depressed. It is best to marinate them, which pre-cooks or pre-digests them. There's many marinade recipes on my website: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/recipes/menu1_2.php There's a marinade for salmon in this recipe: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/recipes/recipe94.php You'll find chicken tastes better marinated, since the texture is just like it was cooked. (sorry, i'm a student ) I can't afford organic meat. Organic salmon for instance costs 8 euros more or less for 200 grams.. I need at least 3 such parts a day to sustain my physical activity, I think. all raw organic meats are very very expensive. I must manage with 10euros a day... what should I do then? cook all my meats? .
