Guest guest
I like chicory in hot water or milk. Not sure if this has the same good effect on the intestines as the inulin. Guest guest
As you may know, Chicory is rich in Inulin but not nearly as half as rich as pure inulin powder - and it does contain quite a lot simple root sugars. Yet in moderation it can be quite healthy for your intestines. Guest guest
Jane, and all...... Have you ever heard of DandyBlend? It's a coffee substitute made from roasted dandelion root. Wayne and I have been drinking it since the ACRES conference in December - and absolutely love it. I'm a big coffee drinker - or should I say.....was! I have cut my coffee consumption in half and don't miss it at all because the DandyBlend tastes just like a good cup of coffee, but without the zing! We've got it in our store now, and it's selling like hotcakes. If you want a free sample, go here: http://www.dandyblend.com/webpages/requestsample.htm. All the best, Janet Brunner Midvalleyvu Farms Re: Digest Number 373 > Jane Frieler wrote, I have been learning about coffee and chocolate lately due to a new company > in the US. Three different NDs have been introducing it. I think I will bring samples to the food swap in case anyone would like to try it. Jane, Would you be willing to send some to me? I'm not able to get to the food swap but I would like to try some of that coffee, tea and chocolate. My dh and I do NOT like coffee but we do keep some instant (double yuck!!) on hand for when our mothers come for a visit. If I can find something that not only tastes good but is good for you that would be terrific, even if they won't order it for themselves. Hey! I just had a thought, it'd make a good B-day or Christmas gift!! But, I'm jumping the gun... they have to like it first! If you'd be willing to send me some, you can e-mail me personally and I'll send you my address. Thanks, Is 26:3 " Only three things are necessary to make life happy: the blessing of God, books, and a friend " - Lacourdaire
