Guest guest
Hi folks, So, if I was a goldsmith in college and spent many weekends in a lab with all windows closed in winter with filings from several classes on the floor and in the air, and did not wear a mask-----could this have lead to thyroid problems? Guest guest
Hi Joyce, Joyce Wrote: if I was a goldsmith in college...... could this have lead to thyroid problems Reply: Some metals do leave the body on their own! I am not sure about gold, but I would definitely have a hair analysis done to see if you have any left in your body. My doctor believes that heavy metals can definitely cause thyroid problems & he believes that is why I am having problems Joyce Wrote: Does this all mean that chelation therapy will remove the heavy metal toxicity and therefore the excess weight and fluids in the body, too Reply: I am hoping, but I am not holding my breath!! I do not know if my thyroid has been permenantly damaged. I at least did not have to have it remove, so I am holding on the this small hope that maybe someday it will start functioning again. I do not believe that there has been much if any research on the effects of heavy metals on the thyroid. It would be interesting to know!! My doctor did not in any way promise that we could reverse the damage already done, but he said we need to remove the metals to prevent further damage. I was becoming hypoglycemic. He said that heavy metals attack the glandular system. The Toxic Metal Syndrome Book was very interesting. You should get it if you were exposed to metals. My copy of the book is in storage or I would look up gold in it to see the effects. I am in the process of building a new home & I packed away many of my books. I am sure someone can look it up for you. Cheri

The dust stays on the counter on the floor and in the air for a very long time. Again, it is not just the gold, it is all of the metal filings. >> I worked as a Metallurgical Engineer in a copper alloy casting plant. I was exposed to brass. It has many different trace metals alloyed with it that appear to be extremely dangerous. I have not looked into silver toxicity. You should get the hair analysis done to see what metals are present. I have zirconium & titanium which are used in copper alloys. I also have nickel which is used as an alloy in copper products. It causes skin rashes!! I worked at the casting plant for approximately 1 year. I was directly on the plant floor supervising the casting process. I do not know if the molten metal fumes or if the dust particles cause worse toxicity. I also worked in the rolling mill of the plant for about 4 years. I think I got the worse exposure at the casting plant. I started to have skin problems while I worked there & I had brochitis for 3 months(which is an indication of exposure to metal fumes). Guest guest
what is DMPS?
Guest guest
> > I would strongly agree, DO NOT DO DMPS. The stuff will kill you. I hate it when someone spouts absolutes; a few of my clients who did use DMPS given by the doctor in a nearby town, reported the most gains with it. They were alternating two types of chelation, taking ozone steam saunas and using cilantro, chlorella and glutathione precursors. regards, Duncan Crow (copyright waived) duncancrow/ --- live and help live... ---
Guest guest
I was told by a 'nutritionally-enlightened' MD that my test results reveal I'm loaded with heavy metals and that my liver wasn't functioning very well (supported by years of elevated liver enzyme test results, which I don't doubt). He told me to stay away from chlorella since my liver wouldn't be able to eliminate them. He recommended glutathione (IV, cream and nebulizer -- inhalation machine). Also tested very high for serum ferritin (iron), for which IP-6 seems to work -- but slowly. This MD, and a message in this group's archive state that anti-fungals tax the liver. My question is whether any of you have had success eliminating heavy metals and if you have any experience with the following product. Heavy Metal Flush http://www.herbalhealer.com/drchi.html This product has been tested and proven in China to reduce heavy metals such as aluminum, lead, cadmium, mercury and copper. The great thing about this product is that is DOES NOT deplete the your bodies good minerals. It can also be safely given to children and elderly. Ingredients: Smilax glabra, Sargassum, Allium salivum, Glycyrrhiza, Chaenomeles, Rheum, and Glechoma Directions: 3 capsules, 3 times a day for at least two months. This product is safe to take as a daily maintenance to help prevent heavy metal build-up. 3 caps once a day. For children: 1 capsule per 40 pounds three times a day for 4 weeks. Take on an empty stomach if possible. Large 350 mg. - 120 capsule bottle Thanks, Bill
